A Day's Work

I am Kansas. I live with my grandma. I help farm, and do chores. I don't know much, but I do know that we live in the middle of Arizona. From what I can tell, there is no civilization within 60 miles. I don't have a car, so I would have to walk. But the heat would be too much to withstand
I usually start my days by gettin out of bed and checking the crops. I then wake up my dog,   Rufus. Lastly, I go downstairs and eat breakfast, than go out to work on my chores.
After 5 months of tending to the crops, my 80 year old grandma walks 60 miles in the scorching sun, to get to a town I know nothing about. I have to take breaks every 30 minutes or I'll get heat stroke, and I'm 17! She's 80, and can walk 60 miles through the harshest conditions! As a kid, I would always be impressed, but as I got older, it was more worrisome.
