Riley's POV

"So let me get this straight. You enrolled her at Brixton without telling me so it could be a suprise?" Nate asked after Christian told us his story of why he was here"Thats it" Christian said. "And now we are roommates" Nate shook his head and grabbed Christians suitcases. "Alright, sweet. This is your bed" He said and put Christians stuff on the bed to the right When Nate turned his back, Christiand and I looked at eachother and he winked at me. I blushed, remembering our few stolen moments last time we were together over Christmas break in NY"So is it my turn to ask a question?" Christian asked Nate and I Nate shrugged and nodded"Why are you guys covered in mud?" Christian asked Nate and I looked at each other and started laughing. I totally forgot to wash off before coming to help Nate"Little incident earlier today" Nate explained I giggled and said "I think im going to go clean up. I'll let you boys have some alone time" Then kissed Nates cheek and left the room When I got back to my room Shane was laying on his bed with his laptop. He had hung the pictures of us all over the rooms I walked around and looked at them, smiling and giggling to myself. Shane had joined me and pointed to the one of us, me smiling, him sticking his tounge out. "That ones my favorite" He said. I smiled "Mine too" Shane took my hand and pulled me to his bed"Ok Ri. Explain" He said and pulled my sleeve up to show my scars I sighed and pulled my hand out of his grasp. "Later. I have to shower and go back to Nates. Christian enrolled in the school and their roommates now" I told him and jumped off the bed, trying to change the subject"Great. Stop trying to change the subject" He said and crossed his arms. He was good I dashed into the bathroom and closed the door, locking it behind me. I jumped in the shower and washed away the mud. When I got out, I threw on a clean pair of jeans and a clean t-shirt then put my hair in a pony tail I walked out of the bathroom, waved to Shane and left the room before he could even open his mouth to say something When I knocked on Nates door, Christian opened it, letting me in I smiled at him and stepped inside and joined Nate on the couch"So, I have another little suprise for you guys" Christian told us with a slight smile then walked over to the door"Oh?" Nate said with a scrunched up face"Mhmm" Christian said and slowly turned the door knob He pulled the door open to reveal Avery, standing outside the door in a short jean skirt, a white tanktop and hot pink flipflops She smiled at us all then said "Hi Natey. Hi Riley" My jaw hit the floor. What was Avery, the last person I ever wanted to see on earth, doing at my school!?"Avery? What are you doing here?" Nate asked, tightening his arm around me."I go to school here now" She said and stepped in the room. "Christian and I flew here together" She explained. She explained"Yeah that was fun" Christian said in a sarcastic, unenthusiastic tone then rolled his eyes"We somehow got seperated at the airport and I had to find my way here alone" Avery continued"Actually, if you remember correctly, I ditched you at a starbucks in the airport. Just saying..." Christian corrected Avery I smiled and bit my lip to hold in a laugh. Avery rolled her eyes and waved a hand at Christian like she was swatting away a fly Avery sauntered over to the couch and sat on the other side of Nate. "So what is there to do for fun at this school?" She asked in an innocent tone Nate slid closer to me, and away from Avery"Nate? I'm kind of hungry. Do you want to go get something to eat?" I asked, giving him an excuse to get up and away from Avery"Yes!" Nate shouted and jumped off the couch. "Food. Sounds good. Lets go" He said and took my hand"Christian, would you like to come?" I asked. Christian was leaning against the wall, looking upset about something He looked at us for a minute then shrugged and said "Sure, why not"."I'll come too!" Avery piped up and walked towards us. I shot Nate a look, he rolled his eyes in return then opened the door for me and we walked to the cafeteria together.

CHRISTIANS P.O.V. :

I took a step towards the door to follow Nate and Riley to the cafeteria but something grabbed the back of my black v-neck shirt and pulled me back into the room, slamming the door shut That something was Avery. "What the hell?" I asked and fixed my shirt"Look Christian" She spat and took a few steps closer to me, forcing me to put my back against the door"I'm not dumb. I know you want Riley for yourself. I know it kills you to see her with your step-brother" She said. I had to avoid eye contact and look at the floor. How could she possibly know this?"And I want Nate back. And I'm going to make that happen. If a few people have to be taken down in the process..." She trailed off and shrugged. I ooked back into her eyes, wandering where this was going"Why are you telling me this Avery?" I asked with a dry voice. She jabbed a perfectly manicured finger into my chest and said "Riley is not just going to come crawling to you Christian. And Nate is not going to come crawling to me. We are going to have to work together to get what we want Ok?" I pushed her handaway and looked at her with cold eyes. "Ok" I agreed She smiled and took a step back "Great, because I have a plan"
