Things have been going amazing.
The trust between me and everyone else has built up a lot. We have a few months until we graduate and I'm very excited to see Shorty Clean again.
Sadies wanted to see if we could go a day stuck with the same person, so he paired us up and told us the rules.
"You and your partner are going to spend 24 hours together. You are not allowed to leave each other's side for even a second. You'll train together, eat together, and sleep together until this time tomorrow! Now here are your partners!" He began to read off the list and I waited for my partner. I was hopping for anyone other than Reiner or Bertolt. I guess I haven't gotten over the whole "kidnapping" me thing.
"L/n and Yeager!" Sadies called and I perked up. I felt a tap on my shoulder.
"Hey Y/n." Eren smiled at me. I stared at it for a few seconds and then snapped out of my daze.
I smiled back. "Sup. So, training?" I asked. He nodded and began walking to the training grounds, me following shortly behind.
When we got there we trained for the next four hours.
I fucking hated it.
I was on the ground panted as I tried to keep the blazing sun out of my eyes.
"What next?" Eren asked.
I had a sudden idea. I pushed myself off the ground and grabbed his hand.
Him right behind me, I dragged him to the patch of trees.
I lead him under the broken fence and further into the woods.
"You're not taking me here to kill me, are you?" He asked. I laughed.
"What? No. There's a hidden staircase to an abandoned underground city. On their last day of building it, half of the city caved in." I explained stopping in front of a gigantic willow tree.
"Woah.." Eren said looking up at the beautiful tree. I looked back at him smiling at his face.
"I know right?" I let go of his hand and felt around the base of the tree. Once I felt the handle I gripped it and pulled hard.
The hidden door creaked open.
"Are you sure we should go down there Y/n..?" Eren asked looked at the spiral staircase. I chuckled.
"Scared?" I raised a teasing brow at him.
"What?! No!" He growled and stomped down the stairs.
I rolled my used jokingly and walked in after him.
We walked down the stairs for at least ten minutes before reaching the bottom. We ran into a million spiderwebs.
But eventually we got to the bottom.
We looked out at the abandoned city. Since it was caved in sunlight beamed over the city, lighting it up.
I looked over at Eren to see a shocked face. I giggled. "Amazing right? This place is crazy." I said.
"Ya.." he said still astounded. I grabbed his hand and pulled him again.
We spend the next few hours exploring the buildings and checking things out.
We decided to leave when it was almost completely dark.
"Do you want to go back..?" Eren asked. I could tell he didn't want to. I shook my head.
"Come on." I lead him over to the side of the tree where there was a low branch and began climbing. I climbed and climbed unti I was at the middle of this gigantic tree.
The middle of the tree was there all of the biggest branches grew from and there was a flat place to sit and look up at the stars.
I sat down and Eren sat next to me. We both looked up at the stars.
A memory came to me. One I'd like both of us to share. Even if it's modified a bit.
"My mother used to tell me that every person that has lost their life, becomes a star when they pass." I said, just like I had before.
"Hm.. that's a comforting thought." He said.
"Ya. Hey, Eren..? Can I tell you something?" I asked. He turned to me.
"Ya. Of course."
"I don't think I ever told you about my mom." I looked from the stars to him.
"She was murdered. Right in front of me." I said ready for his reaction.
I couldn't tell if he'd be different or not. If he'd hug me like last time or if he'd do something else.
His eyes widened and he hugged me.
I was hoping he would.
I hugged him back right away.
"I'm so sorry Y/n." He said. I chuckled.
"There's nothing you have to be sorry for, silly. I'm over it already! I've gotten over the sadness that came with it and I'm happy now!" I let go over him and smiled to show him I was just fine.
