loud noise blasted from johnny's tv, as if he wanted complains from people next door which, at this point, he doesn't even care anymore. his entire flat was just as unkept as he was.
johnny doesn't leave his home unless it's for food and hasn't seen any of his own neighbours on top of that. he swears the last person he's seen that lives here was his landlord when he first moved into his flat, if that even counts.
no one ever tries to invite him over for anything either, which he's completely fine with. johnny hasn't even been in contact with his remaining, alive, family members either, but for his aunt ayeong.
they hate him and he hates them just as much, so it's equal. well, his aunt doesn't hate him-hate him, but she clearly doesn't care when she does her monthly check up on her nephew.
watching the guy on tv shoot the other to death, he stuff his mouth full of ramyeon, the only thing johnny eats these days, other than pizzas and cheeseburgers.
his foot brushed against a crushed can of coke, one of the many cans lying around for someone to step on, which he has done several times.
"you suck, michael," johnny said with a full mouth. "liam didn't do shit to you to deserve that."
he scoffed at what michael said to hannah, lying to her about what happened to liam after his evil arse clearly shot him to death. she better not believe him!
"hannah, don't you dare- huh?" his phone, hidden under a comic book he had set aside started to ring. johnny furrowed his eyebrows, confused as he moved the book out of the way to grab his phone. "who the hell is calling me?"
no one ever does. johnny's the one calling people, as in that one pizza place he loves.
he looked at his screen, seeing his aunt's name. letting out an annoyed huff, he reluctantly answered the call. "hello?"
"have you been taking care of yourself?" came his aunt's voice from the other end of the phone, high-pitched and annoying as per usual.
"yep," he said, easing back into the couch after putting his cup of nearly finished ramyeon on the table near said couch. "been taking care of myself well."
"hmm, alright," ayeong said. without a single goodbye, she hung up on him. johnny didn't care anyways and returned his phone back to the table and picked up his ramyeon again to continue stuffing his face.
well, he could continue to do that if someone hadn't knocked on his door. he let out a groan. "my god!"
just as he removed his lazy arse from the couch, the person started to knock harder before pulling at the doorknob.
"i'm coming, damn," johnny said, making his way to the door. he opened the small flap, peeking to see who it was.
they weren't exactly... normal looking.
her eyes were red, her breathing rather loud. "help me, sir. let me in!"
"h-help you?" johnny started backing away from the door. "why?"
"let me in!" she screeched. that wasn't a reason for why she needed help. johnny wasn't going to let her in, that'd be stupid. the rattling of the doorknob became louder and now the young male was panicking.
"i can't!" he yelled back. more rattling...
johnny swore to himself, his eyes searching for anything that could be used as a weapon. there, right on the kitchen counter, was the knife he always uses to cut his microwavable pizzas.
he grabbed it, holding it out to defend himself.
"if you break in, i'll stab you!" he said, sounding braver than he felt, but not by much. even at that threat, she kept trying to open the door with force. what does he do now?
then, an idea came to him. flipping own the flap on his door, he jabbed the sharp knife at her forehead, making the woman howl in pain.
"go away," he added before closing the flap back. johnny let out a sigh of relief, thinking it worked, only for him to hear her head butt into the door.
out of surprise, he let out a yelp, stumbling away from the blue door. so that didn't work and now he's got no more ideas.
he's really fucked now.
"let me in!" if anything, her earsplitting voice became a low growl, one you'd hear from some monster in a horror movie. another loud bang sounded loudly, even over the loud tv, denting the door.
with no other option, johnny runs for his phone to call for help. he frantically pressed the first number, reaching out a finger for the second when the noise came to a sudden stop.
johnny paused, listening intently. though it was hard with the loud noise of two people arguing on the tv.
after a few more moments of standing there basically paralysed, he finally moved to check outside. no one was there, the only remains being a puddle of blood in front of his door.
great. now he has another reason not to leave his flat.
