chapter 8 : mudblood and traitors

y/n's pov

"Already becoming besties with a mudblood. I thought you were better than this White."

I just walked in the common room and he was already on my case.

"I can choose my friends, you don't own me Malfoy."

He mumbled something that looked like "we'll see about that".

I shrugged and sat with Ava. She was reading a book and Will was by her side, reading over her shoulder. Even if they weren't officially together, Ava and Will liked each other but were both too shy to make a move. I felt like a third wheel so I moved onto an armchair near the window. Finally calming down a bit, I focused on the view. The under lake was breathtaking. We could sometimes see merpeople and fishes of all kind. I was almost completely relaxed when I heard him.

"Too bad, she's a traitor. I don't talk to blood traitors."

Blaise was trying to calm Draco down, but nothing was working. The blonde was obviously in a bad mood, like every other day. Y/n had enough.

"I thought I made myself clear Draco Malfoy. I choose who the fuck I am friends with. Hermione is a million time nicer then you. You're always complaining and it's getting on everyone's nerve. Now if you don't mind, I'd like you to shut it and leave me the fuck alone."

Everyone in the room went silent.

Even if it was kinda embarrassing, I knew I was right. Draco didn't knew what to reply to this while Will and Ava were laughing quietly.

"I changed my mind. You're not that bad. You got an attitude."

Nice try Malfoy. Trying to turn the tables on me? In your dreams.

I just rolled my eyes and started talking to Pansy on my way out to eat in the Great Hall.

"I mean, have you seen his face?! Really witty. I'd pay all my galleons to see that again it was so badass!" Pansy said cheerfully.

I smiled and laughed with her.
