Maurice walked into the classroom sighing. Its was the first day all over again and the last thing he wanted to do was be here. He wanted to be back in his original home town with his dad.

Memphis, Tennessee

Weird right? He wanted to be in a city that no one knew of and for sure wasn't on the map like New York City or Atlanta was. But during the summer when he had spent his time there he had learned so much, and had so much fun that he had forgot all about having to come back to his home.

But as far as he was concerned Memphis was his home now and he couldn't wait to go back there this summer. He had made so many friends and kind of hit it off with this girl named Jada. She was a sweet girl who you couldn't help but take a liking to once you met her.

She may have had some problems that were going on in her life which caused her to have her moments but she for sure was a genuine person who wasn't as mean as she looked.

Maurice was day dreaming about her once again when the teacher started talking about how they were going to do and ice breaker before class so that everyone could get a little familiar with each other.

"Okay so the ice breaker is that I want you to state your name, your age, your favorite color and what you did this summer."

Every one in the class nodded and she smiled.

"Okay then I'll go first."

She started talking but Maurice had zoned out thinking about how his summer went.

Maurice had two more days until school was out and here he was with blood on his knuckles from another fight he had ended up in.

He knew his mother would be furious with him which is why he couldn't stop the bouncing coming from his legs. He was nervous about what she would do this time.

He had got into fights all the time mainly because niggas always felt the need to disrespect him and being a hot head he didn't ignore them he addressed them which led to him having to defend himself.

He always acted before he thought things through, he had big behavior issues, and he didn't like rules and if he felt the rules were bullshit he didn't follow them.

But his mother Candice had a plan to turn her baby around and make sure that he got back on track.
