(A/N OK can I just say that when Harry posted on his story today I was like BRUH this is perfect for my chapter so enjoy that image.)

Shit. Shit shit shit. Not already.

No. I refused to believe it. But there was no denying the stupid grin on my face that never left as I got in my car.

I had problems. Too many to count. So the fact that I was already giddy wasn't good.

I gripped the steering wheel as my smile slowly faded from my face. I didn't know her. I was just feeling this way because it was the first time I'd laughed in weeks.

Sure, I'd laughed in videos. But they were always forced.

That one was real.

It took me by surprise, too. After all, I'd made myself look like an idiot the entire time we were together. But she'd somehow managed to do it.

Not only that, but I hadn't touched a football in ages. But now I ached to go down to the pitch and kick it around, maybe even with some friends.

My hand was still warm from when it held hers. I had to scream at myself not to freak out when she first laid her hand on top of mine. But she taught me that breathing thing, and suddenly I felt comfortable. Like I didn't have to worry around her.

No. I hadn't fallen for her. That would be stupid. Her and I were too different, and I was too much of a lost cause.

But it was nice to have someone who understood. Someone who cared.

I thought back to the song she'd started playing, and immediately the smile was back on my face. It almost hurt, all of the smiling I'd done that day. My face wasn't used to it.

"No fucking way!" I heard JJ shout at the top of his lungs as he rushed out of the Sidemen house, and only then did I realize I'd spent maybe a minute too long waiting in the car. "He's smiling! Josh! Vik! Get out here!"

I rolled my eyes as I wiped the grin from my face, just before Vik and Josh could come outside. I climbed out of the car.

"You said you were going to the store," Josh told me. "What took you so long?"

I looked at JJ, who still looked shocked. I'd have to talk with him later.

I shrugged. "Lost track of time."

Yes, I did lie to Josh about where I'd gone. I didn't want him to know that I'd booked my own appointment with Abigail.

"Well, dinner's getting cold. Tobi decided he wanted to cook, so be nice."

I chuckled, immediately surprised with the noise. That was three times, now.

"Tobi and Ethan are over," Vik chimed. He tilted his head, obviously aware of my changed demeanor. I knew I'd be hearing from him about it, but I decided to ignore it for the time being.

"Cool," I closed my car door and shoved my hands in my pockets. It was a new feeling. One that gave me confidence. "Would any of you fancy a football video down at the pitch tomorrow?"

That caused everyone's eyes to widen.

Maybe you should've kept that to yourself. I thought.

"Who are you?" JJ came over to me and clapped a hand on my shoulder. "We'll all go. Right guys?"

Josh and Vik nodded, so I shuffled awkwardly on my feet. Josh seemed the most suspicious, so I avoided eye contact with him.
