I was finally in Portland after what seemed like forever, hopefully my aunt wasn't too shocked to see me. I really hope she didn't make me turn around and go home, or call my mom. I'd followed the GPS on my phone.

"Hmm, let's see....Leighton St, Canby St, Webber St..." I whispered to myself. I turned a corner and finally found Enver St. It was dark outside so I had to squint my eyes and look at the house numbers.I'd finally found the address of my aunts and I'd parallel parked infront of her house. I stepped out of my car to see a large dog on a chain in the yard. I'd squinted my eyes again to get a closer look.

"No way! It's you, Zoey!" I said in excitement to the dog. I ran to Zoey and hugged her, she'd licked me all over. Looks like I found my aunt's house. I looked up at the house, it was colored a beautiful light blue, was maybe 3 stories tall, had a three car garage, and beautiful landscaping. The house had been beautiful! It was huge, like a mansion, yet it appeared homely other then the others that looked too modern. I slowly and nervously walked up to the french doors, I knocked three times and patiently waited on the doormat. The dog had sat and watched me closely.

"Who would be coming this late?" I heard auntie say. She'd opened the door with a frown on her face, when she saw me her frown instantly turned to a look of shock , then to a smile.

"Alison! Hello! Why're you here? How are you here? I have so many questions for you! Come on in!" She said way too cheerfully. I cautiously stepped inside to be greeted by my uncle and my cousin Carson.

"What are you doing here?" My uncle asked suspiciously. I froze in my tracks and looked at him.

"Just visiting." I replied quickly and nervously. My aunt grabbed my shoulder and led me into her bedroom. She sat on the bed and patted on the bed next to her.

"Sit down." She said. I plopped onto the bed and she got up and closed the door.

"Now, honey. Why're you here? Is your mother with you?" She asked. I froze up again, what am I gonna tell her I'm here for?

"No, my mother isn't here and I uhh..It's complicated." I replied shyly. She looked into my eyes consolingly. I laid back on the bed and rubbed my belly. I'm so hungry.

"Do you got any food?" I asked out of nowhere. Her facial expression turned into a surprised look and she laughed a bit.

"Um, yeah..sure." She said smiling. She'd led me to the kitchen where I ate leftovers of oven fried chicken.

"Oh yum." I said with my mouth full of food. She looked at my face and started laughing hysterically.

"You remind me of a hamster with all of that food in your mouth." She said teasingly.

"Oh shush!" I said. I'd continued eating my chicken and drinking my orange juice. After about ten minutes of eating, I got up and brought my dish to the sink. I'd stood awkwardly in the kitchen waiting for auntie to come and talk to me. I saw her come into the kitchen with a smile on her face.

"Would you mind telling me why you're here now?" She asked calmly. Um, actually I wasn't. The nervousness of telling her came back. I shrugged my shoulders and walked into the dining room and sat down.

"Is there something wrong, Alison?" She asked.

"Yes!" I instantly replied. She frowned and ran her fingers through her long brown hair.

"Would you tell me?" She asked showing sympathy.

"Look, I want to tell you! I really do! I just...can't, I'm too nervous, I'm too scared. I just can't tell you about it." I said loudly. She backed off a bit and look at me suspiciously.
