Hello people reading! Yes, this chapter is about half the length of all the others, but I think it's as long as it needed to be! I'm just making the chapters as long as they need to be for the book to fit well together, so please vote and comment. I'd appreciate it so much, thanks! (: <3

After the scene at the park, we'd returned to Veronica's house. Or I guess I could say our house now that I was living there. I loved this house. It was huge, and sort of like a mansion. Yet, it wasn't the type that was big and felt more like a hotel then a home...it actually felt homey. And I felt safe in it. We'd walked into the den and sat down on the huge, soft couch. I wonder what school was going to be like tomorrow. Was I going to be super popular? Would people like me? Would I get lost? I guess I was being silly. I have Veronica and her friends helping me around. Surely, that'll make me popular and help me not get lost. I'd smiled in relief.
"Isn't Aiden so cute?" Asked Veronica. I'd looked up at her and smiled.
"Yeah..." I replied, shyly. She'd blushed and flipped her hair backwards.
"Do you think he likes me?" She asked, hopefully. I'd pursed my lips. Well, I didn't know what to say. I actually wasn't sure. I'd only been around them once.
"I'm not sure.." I replied. She'd frowned and crossed her shoulders.
"You can say he doesn't if you think that.." She'd said, upset. My eyes widened. I'd never thought that he didn't! I just wasn't sure.
"No,no,no,no,no! I never thought that, EVER. I'm just not sure..don't get your hopes down just because I said I wasn't sure. I've only been around you two once. I'm going to need to see you guys talk more then once to decide. And besides, what I think doesn't matter. I could always be wrong." I'd replied, reassuringly. She'd smiled and sighed in satisfaction.
"I guess I gotta be more confident..and not too clingy" She'd said. I'd nodded and we'd both smiled and chuckled.
"Veronica, Alison, Carson, come eat dinner!" Shouted auntie. Veronica and I had gotten up and walked to the dining room. I'd sat in a random spot and Veronica sat next to me. Carson had walked in and sat across from me. Carson was my thirteen year old cousin, I never really talked to him much, but I know he's more quiet and basically never talks unless he's with his friends. He'd smiled at my shyly and I smiled back. Auntie had came in and placed huge bowl of spaghetti, salad, and a plate of garlic bread on the table just as uncle Kirt sat down.
"I don't know if this is how you eat normally, but at our house we serve ourselves." She'd said, welcomingly as she sat down.
"Oh it's fine, Auntie. I like it this way" I'd said, happily. She'd smiled and clapped her hands once.
"Okay, well then...eat up everyone!" She'd said. We'd all reached in and got our share of food. I liked this kind of dining. We'd talked and laughed and joked around, it was fun. I'd looked over at Carson to find him staring at me. Veronica must've followed my eyes to him because right after that she'd chuckled.
"Stop checking out your cousin, Carson!" She'd teased. Everyone at the table except for Carson and I laughed. I'd sat there awkwardly looking around the room, chewing quietly.
"I wasn't checking her out! I'm just not used to her being here too." He'd said in defense, making everyone laugh more. His face turned red and he'd rolled his eyes. I couldn't help it, I'd just laughed along with everyone else. Carson's red, angry face had managed to smile..and laugh too. Oh, this was so much fun. I could get used to this.
