After three years, Desmond got addicted to gambling and drugs in Greece, and his fortune vanished. He has to go to Milan to pay his debt and flee from loan sharks with what little money he has left.

He began to participate in rehabilitation and began earning money againthrough his paintings. After 3 months, he built his own shop and named it"Canvas Luchiero"

He had two young apprentices, Alexandro Picasso and Cayfas Roches. Whilehe let Cayfas clean the studio, he requested assistance from his apprenticePicasso to go to Purferroz mansion.

He gave Picasso a letter declining the offer of the couple's portrait and a sum of money for his last payment of his debt in Greece, but after 10 hours, Picasso still didn't return.

He waited patiently, but sitting in there and just waiting for it to return made him nervous. He began to stand and march on his way to find Picasso, but when he tries to turn the knob, Picasso appears behind the door looking so dirty and crying about losing all the money, including the letter that Desmond gave to him.

"I'm sorry. I lost all themoney. Someone grabbed it while I was on my way to Purferroz mansion,"Picasso began to cry again.

"Va bene. Basta piangere, "(It's okay. Stop Crying) saidDesmond out of sympathy because the kid looked scared and obviouslyencountering a traumatic experience.

"I can still work and save that up. It's a good thing that theletter of declination was lost too. We can still change it into something new, like I will go to the mansion three days from now and do my job. The Purferrozwill pay me a large sum of money. It will help me cover up my debt in Greece.Don't worry about it Picasso. It's my fault I let you roam around knowing thatthere's a lot of pickpocketers out there, "said Desmond.
