Prologue

TW: Will be mentioning suicide so you may skip this page if this triggers you at all. Only adding in for a backstory of Y/N's life.

The sound of the cartoons on the television are slightly blaring throughout the living room. Y/N is sprawled out on the couch with a bowl of F/S (favourite snack). As she watches the TV she her eyelids start becoming heavy. She briefly sees her mother walk down into the basement. She thinks nothing of it as she just assumes her mother was looking for something or left something down there. Y/N drifts off to sleep listening to her muffled cartoon show.

Y/N wakes up to the sky being darker than when she fell asleep. "How long have I been out?" she thinks to herself. She grabs her phone and checks the time "7:24 PM" It reads. She slowly realises how hungry she is. "Hey mum? What's for dinner?" She waits for a response. Nothing. Dead silence. "Mum?" She doesn't remember her mother saying she'd be out. Y/N walks around the house looking for her mother. She remembers her mother walking into the basement so she assumes she's still down there.

Y/N steps down the creakily staircase that leads down to the basement. Once she gets down she realises how dark it is, she pulls out her phone and turns the flashlight on. "Mum? Are you down here?" She hears a muffled groan. She steps further inside the basement and sees her mother. Bleeding profusely. She runs over to her.

TIME SKIP

Paramedics and police were called. Y/N's mother was taken to the hospital with her in an ambulance. A few hours after arriving a nurse walks to the waiting area. "Y/N L/N?" She walks towards the nurse. "I regret to inform you that your mother passed away from overdosing and bleeding out from self harm cuts. I am terribly sorry."

Y/N falls to the ground in despair. Her mother, the best thing she had was gone. Where would she go?
