"hi!" i said as i joined the call with grayson "hey y/n! how are you?" "im doing alright, i actually wanted to talk to you about something." "alright, what's up?" i smiled at the webcam and began, "well i wanna do a charity stream, and i was hoping you would do it with me?" he chuckles a bit and responded, "of course ill help out silly, when it is?" he asked, i flahed my most inocent smile and said "tomorrow."

i really didnt want to say no. mainly because i leave for my flight the day after tomorrow. but there was a thought in the back of my mind, this would be the perfect opportunity to surprise her. "yeah i can help out. what charity?" she leaned back in her mint green gaming chair and began to explain. she said that it was for st judes and that she was realy glad i said i would do it with her. i tried to pay attention, but all i could think about was meeting her. just as i was about to respond to what she was talking about, my phone rang.

i stared at my phone in utter disbelief, but also feeling a sense of relief, and a sort of weight being lifted off of me.
"gray? you there?" y/ns soft voice broke through my trance, "yeah I'm here, kate actually just broke up with me." I said, for a moment, she looked extatic and relieved, before throwing a concerned expression at me, "oh my, are you okay? I swear I'll rip her to shrea-" "y/n I'm okay, don't worry at all." grayson was single. like, single. he didn't seem very upset about it at all really. before she passed away, my mom always said you should never leave for collage in a relationship. just as I was about to load up minecraft and ask grayson to play, I saw the time, "shit grayson I have work, I have to get going." I said, closing tabs on my second monitor, "oh alright, talk after right?" I smiled softly and said, "you know it" as I ended the discord call.

I've litterly been outside for 15 minutes y/n.
I grabbed my small white bag and headed out the door. schlatt wasn't home so there really wasn't anyone to say goodbye too. I walked out of the loft and locked the door before heading to the parking lot.
"cut your hair god damnit." I said as I got in the car next to the brown haired boy "I kinda like the man bun, maybe I'll just get jesus hair" I rolled my eyes at him and he drove into the busy new york streets.
we pulled into the mall and parked in the employee parking lot, "are you in the book store or the Starbucks today?" I said and I unbuckled my seatbelt, "I'm with you at Starbucks, dee and morgan are in barns today." he said opening his door to get out. I didn't mind anyone on shift today, anyone is better than lily and caroline.
"good afternoon!" dee said and link and I tied our aprons, "hey mama!" I said, dee was an older back woman, and she basically raised me for all of my highschool years. "how are your grades looking y/n? you know it's not to late for adelphi to kick ya." she said as she shelved some books infront of the Starbucks counter, "still straight a's mama." pretty much everyone who worked in the join barns and noble/starbucks called dee some variation of mom. she just has that energy.
"that'll be 7.43" I said to the boy in front of me as he handed me the money and took his drink, what caught my eye was the next person in line. "hi welcome to starbuck-" my words got caught in my throat when I saw who was in front of me "y/n?!"
