GEORGE
God, my head hurt.
There was a ringing in my ears, and the damp concrete walls and dingy lightbulb slowly materialized in front of me. I blinked the fog away, trying to make sense of where I was.
The room smelled like disinfectant, and my stomach dropped as I noticed red stains on the walls. This looked like something akin to a torture chamber. There was one wooden door opposite me, probably locked.
I tried to remember what had happened to me. I'd let in the stupid technician without a second thought, and he'd knocked me out with a needle, and now I'm sitting on a chair in the middle of a scary room.
There was a rope holding both my arms behind the chair, tied together, and another one holding me to the chair. They were tight, and I hoped they weren't cutting off my circulation.
I had no way to track the time, because I'd taken my watch off at the office. Dammit. The small light bulb flickered above me, and I wiggled about, to no use.
A feeling of loneliness washed over me. What if Dream decided it wasn't worth the trouble to come get me? Didn't he mention that he'd kill me if I didn't keep his affiliations secret? This would be an easy way to get rid of me.
I was terrified. I had no clue what the people who took me were planning, or what they wanted with Dream. I'd never been one to panic, but I could feel anxiety bubbling up inside of me.
My life up until now had been quiet and simple, and now I found myself all alone, in the hands of a possible murderer. I knew it would be someone related to The Blade, but from what I'd seen, he was ruthless.
I froze as the door creaked open. It swung into the wall, and behind it stood a tall man with pink hair. Was this him?
The man had a mask over his eyes, seemingly made out of a skull with tusks. His pink hair was long, tied into a low ponytail over his shoulder. I noticed he had a burgundy blazer over a white dress shirt, much like a normal businessman would wear.
"George, is it?"
