A Day to Remember

After driving nearly four hours everything was worth it when you saw Midnight Red give their performance of their life. You took so many videos and pictures to help capture the memory that you were sure that you would never forget this day. You were extremely happy when Anthony held your hand during his solo. Even though he’s not the one your heart belongs to you still love him.

Now you were waiting in line for them to sign the posters and their EP. You were practically bouncing up and down with your best friend the closer you got to go up and get your things signed.

“I can’t believe this is happening!” You say.

“I know! And look at Eric sitting there looking all sexy. I love his smile!”

“You’re completely head over heels for him,” you tell your best friend.

“Yes, I will admit to it because it’s the truth. And you missy,” she says. “You were almost drooling when Colton got on stage.”

“So, that just means I know what I like,” you laugh.

The both of you stop talking about the boys because you’re almost up to get your things signed and talk to the guys. Before you know it you’re walking up on the stage and handing your poster to Thomas. He writes his name and adds a smiley face under his name.

“Hi Thomas. You were really great today. It was worth the four hour drive.”

He looks at you and your heart flutters. “Four hours? Wow, that’s a long time. Thanks for coming out.” He slid the poster to Eric who scribbled his name on the poster. He gave you his one-hundred watt smile and you feel your face heating up. Before you know it Colton is signing the poster and you’re trying to stay composed.

“C-can I get a picture with you?”

“Absolutely,” he says with a smile. He gets up from his chair and wraps his arm around you. Your hand is shaking as you try to steady the camera. Colton chuckles and takes it from you and takes the photo. You thank him and walk off the stage holding the camera close to your heart.

“Wait up cutie!”

You recognize Colton’s voice and turn around. He walks towards you and your heart speeds up.

“Forget something?” He waves the poster at you and you laugh. “Yeah, I guess I did. Thanks.”

“No problem,” he says winking at you.

Um, did Colton Just wink at me?  You think to yourself.

Later that night you hang up the poster after searching for the perfect spot to hang it. You’re looking at each of the guys’ signatures and scream once you see that Colton wrote his number saying to call him sometime.

“No freaking way! This can’t be happening! Did Colton seriously give me his number?”

You dial the number that he wrote down and wait to see if it’s really Colton’s number.

“Hello,” the voice on the other line says.

You drop the phone and scream before picking it up and bringing it back to your ear. “Um is this Colton?”

“Yup,” the person on the phone says popping the ‘p’.

“Um, hi. You wrote your number down on my poster and said to call you…”

“Yeah, I did. And I’m glad you did.”

You spend the rest of the night talking to Colton on the phone. Throughout the conversation you learn some things about him that you didn’t know and you’ve been laughing a lot. It’s getting late when you realize that you should go to bed, but your too wide awake too sleep and having fun talking to Colton. He hears you yawn over the phone and starts singing to you sleep with his angelic voice.
