Chapter 4- Explanations

*Trey’s POV*

            I stared up at Nate wondering what he was doing here, and then I noticed all of the warriors from my pack there with him. “We came to rescue you. How did you get out?” I looked up at him and all I saw in his eyes was worry, “I brought them pain in their minds, and then they blacked out.” He nodded, “Alright I am going to take Trey back to the pack, and all of you are going to finish them off.”

*Nate’s POV*

            I watched as they all went into the house to kill the vampires off. I turned to Trey and noticed how pale she was. “Are you okay? You’re looking kinda pale.” She looked at me but then turned her face away, “I’m fine lets go home.”

            I grabbed her arm and tingles shot through my hand and up my arm, I felt her shiver and I looked at her concerned. “I’m fine just a little cold, you can go ahead of me I’m not gonna run away.” I sighed, and kept on walking towards the car. We got into my Porsche and drove away.

            When we got home Adrian ran up to her daughter and started kissing her all over her face. “Are you alright? Are you hurt?” “I’m fine mom, I’m just gonna go to bed.” Adrian nodded and let her leave, “I’m gonna go explain everything to her, give us some time.”

*Trey’s POV*

            I sat in my room as I heard Nate walk up the stairs to go to his room. Then I heard a knock on my door. I went to open the door and saw Nate standing there with an apologetic smile on his face. “We need to talk Trey.” I gave him a hesitant glance. “Really? What about?”  

            “What happened and why I rejected you.” My eyes widened when he said that. “I know why you rejected me, you thought I was a freak.” He shook his head, “I rejected you because of the vampires.” I stared at him confused, “Let’s go sit down.”

            He nodded and we headed to my bed, “Alright the thing is that I went into vampire territory and they wanted me dead so I made a deal with them. I said they could have anything they wanted if they let me go. This was before you shifted so I didn’t know you were my mate and they said that they would tell me when the time came. I said yes and I went home. Then they told me wanted my mate on one condition and that was if I accepted her. So I stayed away from you and gave you a excuse that I knew would keep you away. It killed me everyday after that. Now they are dead and we can be together. I do not care about your powers and they do not intimidate me. I’m so sorry I hurt you.”

            I looked at him in surprise. “Well why didn’t tell me that? Why did you let me go thinking how my mate hated me and was scared of me?” He looked down guiltily, “They said I couldn’t tell you the real reason. Do you forgive me?”

I stared up at my mate, thinking of how he has wanted me this whole time. “I don’t know give me some time to think over the information you gave me.” He nodded, “Goodbye Trey, just remember that I love you.” Then he got up, bent down and kissed my forehead before heading out the door.

*Nate’s POV*

            I walked out the door, feeling my heart reassemble itself, she might forgive me. I would not blame her if she didn’t, what I did was unforgivable. I sighed, laid down on my bed and tried to sleep. I tossed and turned but I couldn’t sleep, I wanted my mate in my arms, not in another room. Then when I had finally got to sleep I felt some pressure on the bed as it dipped.

            My eyes flew open and I saw Trey climb into my bed, “Oh sorry I didn’t mean to wake you but I couldn’t sleep because my wolf wanted to be next to you so I came here. Is it okay?” I nodded eagerly as she laid down next to me, I slung an arm around her middle, and pulled her close to me as I laid my leg down on both of her legs. I heard her breath turn quiet and slow so I knew she was asleep; so I closed my eyes and fell into the best sleep I had ever had.
