Toy Secret

Jib, Jab, Hook, and Ben came out from under the stable and jumped right in front of Lily and Elly.

"Whoa!" Lily and Elly said.

"Sorry," Hook said. "We need to talk to you!"

They met with Jib and Jab and the group put the toys on the table and started telling each other's stories. Hook wasn't really paying attention because she was thinking about the toy's eye twinkle. Why do all the toys have a twinkle in their eyes?

Instead of thinking some more, she started listening to Lily.

"We need to think of a plan to figure out what that hat man is up to," Lily said.

"I know what that man is up to!" A voice said.

"Really?! Can you tell us, uh... who said that?"

"I did!" The voice said again.

They all looked down. Chit Chat Chelsea was looking straight at Ben. "Hello!" She said.

"AGHH!!!!!!" The group screamed.

"Hey, don't be scared of Chelsea!" Now BoPeep was talking. She was putting her arm around Chelsea.

"AGHH!!!!!!" The group screamed again.

"Oh I'm sorry! I know why you're shouting. You didn't have breakfast yet so you are hungry!" Piggy cooked and started flipping his meat and egg. "Would you like meat or egg?"

"Ooooh, I'll take both," Ben said.

"You know, the food he makes is delicious!" Guillaume explained.

"Oh... well... hello?" Elly said, trembling. She took Chelsea's small hand and shook it.

"Hello, Elly!" Chelsea said cheerfully. "Would you like to have breakfast or any meal with us?"

"You know, I have seen some stuff in my adventures, but piggin' cookin' time is my favorite so far," Ben said as he waited for his eggs and bacon.

"Well," BoPeep said. "You wanted to know what that dumb hat guy is up to, chasing you guys around?" She pointed to Jib and Jab with her crook.

"Oh yes. First, who was he? Second, what does he want with Dark Sky, Pierre and Patricia?" asked Lily.

"Who, what and whom?" asked Guillaume.

"That hat dumb guy is Adrian Favre. He's a vampire. Dark Sky, Pierre and Patricia were those ghosts?" BoPeep asked.

Lily nodded.

"They are his friends," Chelsea said. "They help him do evil stuff. I think they told Adrian about you guys. You're in luck: bad luck."

"The reason why we have twinkling eyes is because we are the toys he cast his magic on. He made us move and talk by ourselves to work for him," Piggy Cook said, twinkling his eyes while making his food do a double flip.

"That's why he didn't want you to buy me," Guillaume said to Jib and Jab.

"We hate him," BoPeep said. "That's why we were so happy you bought us." She hugged Hooks finger.

"We're happy we got you too," Elly said, picking up Chelsea and pulling her string. She said, "We're not in Kansas anymore."

"Is that Dorothy from The Wizard of Oz's line?" Elly asked.

"Yep," Chelsea said. "I like memorizing famous movie lines."

"Who's your favorite actor?" Lily asked.

"Well, I was made a long time ago so I like actors who are dead like Judy Garland and Audrey Hepburn," Chelsea said.

"Oh, I like old movies, like Gone with the Wind and stuff," said Jab. "I was born in 1921, so I was made a long time ago, too!"

"Wow, you've been a ghost a long time," said Ben. Jab nodded and winked.

Lily was smiling but then looked worried. "Wait- so if Dark Sky, Pierre and Patricia were a bad guy's friends, does that mean I was friends with evil guys?" she asked BoPeep.

"I guess so," BoPeep asked. "You should be careful with ghosts, Lily d' Inky."

Lily was about to ask how BoPeep knew her name, but it seemed BoPeep read her mind.

"I know you from the Ghost Fashion Magazine," she held up the magazine which was on the table.

"Breakfast's ready!" Piggy flipped his meat.

Ben held up his hand. Piggy flipped the food onto his hand.

"It's fried egg with bacon," Piggy said.

Ben frowned. "It's tiny!" he said.

"Well, I am tiny!" said Piggy.

"Fair enough," said Ben. "It's delicious."

Piggy continued to make breakfast while Chelsea, BoPeep, and Guillaume filled them in on Adrian Favre's plan. Favre was a wicked vampire who liked to drink the blood of humans. He used magical toys to lure children and drink their blood, and then the children sometimes died and become ghosts. It was really sad and Elly and Ben got really upset. Hook cried. Jib and Jab wondered. "Is that how Pierre, Dark Sky and Patricia became ghosts?"

"I am afraid so," said Chelsea.

"It's really upsetting," said Guillaume.

"Well what can we do to stop them?" said Hook.

"Hey, wait. If you guys are magical toys made by Adrian, and we are children and he uses toys to get the blood of children how do we know you aren't trying to get our blood over to Adrian?" Ben asked.

"If we were, why would we tell you that whole story?!?" BoPeep said as Elly facepalmed.

"Oh Ben, Elly said "Why would they tell us the plan?"

"Oh yeah, right. They are the ones who told us the plan. I forgot," Ben said.

"What we need is a plan of our own!" said Lily.

"What we need is a trap," Hook said.

"Well, I have this riddle. Maybe this can help?" Ben said showing the riddle note he got at the restaurant.

"Oh Ben, that's perfect!" Chelsea said.
