"How could you, Logan? How could you say all those things about her? Do you know she stopped me from getting raped a second time? She offered to take my place! She saw how broken I was and she knew I couldn't handle it again. She was raped just like I was. She had it worse then me!"

I hear those words over and over in my head and I feel my chest constricting painfully as I struggle to breathe. My vision begins to blur from the tears I haven't been able to stop from flowing. Why won't they stop coming?

Elias comes into my view and reaches for my face and I involuntary flinch from his touch. "I'm s-sorry. I-I'm so-sorry." I plead for forgiveness as I back myself further into the wall.

Isabella appears in front of me. I see her lips moving but I can't make out any words leaving her lips due to the ringing in my ears that seems to be getting louder by the second. It sounds so muffled as if I'm under water. I just might be under water because right now it feels like I'm drowning.

*ELIAS' POV*

Grace was raped? My Grace. She said she wasn't. Why would she lie? My thoughts are all a jumbled mess as a million thoughts run through my head but I focus on the main one. The most important one. Is she going to be okay?

"Lani?" Bella cries out as her voice breaks. "I'm here, I'm right here and I'm not going anywhere."

I take my eyes off of Grace for the first time since finding it it she was raped as well. I notice every fucking one standing around. "Everyone leave! Now!" I yell as a few jump, startled by my booming voice and looks at me before quickly nodding their heads and exit the house.

Dimitri and Ben stay behind to put Logan's nose back in place as he's too in shock to realize that bloods dripping on the floor. I shake my head. Fucking bastard! He caused all this. He hurt my Grace.

"Eli, can you help me get her off the floor and up to your room?" Bella snaps me out of the rage that's boiling inside me and for once I'm glad because if she didn't I probably would of killed Logan. That dumb ass doesn't even deserve to breath the same air as my Grace.

I nod my head. "Will she allow me to pick her up?" I look at Bella and then drag my eyes to Grace's beautiful tear stained face as she mumbles incoherent words.

"Yeah. She will." She nods in encouragement as I slowly walk to Grace and pick her up bridal style and carry her to my room.

When I get in my room I gently lay her on my bed, kiss her forehead and take a step back as Bella lays beside her and caresses her face as she hums a tune I've never heard of.

I pull up my desk chair and sit on it as I wait and it seems I don't have to wait long before Grace falls into what I hope is a peaceful slumber.

"Is she going to be okay?" I ask never taking my eyes off of Grace as Bella gets off my bed.

I cover Grace up with a blanket and watch her sleep peacefully for a couple of minutes before I cup her face and kiss her forehead. "She'll be fine in the morning after she gets her rest. I'm going to have to apologize to her for blurting it out when she clearly didn't want you or anyone to know." She sighs.

"Yeah, about that. Why didn't she want me to know?" I frown as I look from Grace to Bella.

It hurts me that she couldn't trust me enough to tell me. Did she think I was going to judge her for it? Look at her differently, because if she did, she's wrong. If anything it's going to make me want her more.

"She likes you, Eli. I haven't seen her smile this much since before that dreadful day." She offers me a small smile. "When she told her ex... Peter he left her. He told her he didn't want anyone who was damaged goods. They were together for a year before she finally told him. He said she was broken and it wasn't his responsibility to fix her. He was the first guy who's touch didn't make her skin crawl after the incident. She trusted him. She opened up to him and was happy with him until she finally decided to tell him and when she did he called her a whore. Do you blame her if she's scared, because I don't."
