I hit the stop button on my phone alarm and drag myself out of bed. Who even likes to get up at seven-forty-five on a Monday morning for classes? Not me, that's for sure.I rush to the restroom and pee before brushing my teeth and jumping in the shower to do a quick washing of my body and get out and as I start to get dressed my phone begins to ring and I see "Sista Mate" on the screen along with a picture of us in our dorm room the first day we moved here.
"Hey, Babe." I smile when her face appears in FaceTime.
"Hey, hey, babe. Are you nervous for our first day of classes?"
"Just a little." I laugh as I look for my mascara in my makeup bag."Thank fuck we scoped out our classrooms Saturday, if not we'd would be doomed."
"Thank fuck indeed. I heard Professor Garza can be an ass if ones tardy." She cringes.
"Bella, I heard Professor Garza, doesn't care if you show up to class, In fact no Professor does. It will be our own asses not theirs that's on the line."
"Whatever." She rolls her eyes. "So do you want to meet up before class at Mochas and Javas?"
I shrug before putting my makeup bag in my duffle bag. "I have to see what time Elias gets here. He's taking me to school, but I was hoping you would take my car to class. I kind of want Chik-fil-A afterwards."
"You bet, babe. Anyways text me where you're going for coffee so I can meet up with you."
Elias walks in the room the same time I get off the phone with Bella. "You look tired. How was practice?" I smile as Elias drops his duffle bag on the floor.
"Exhausting but I love it." He smiles before he kisses my lips. "I was hoping you would be asleep when I got in so we could stay in bed all day." He wiggles his eyebrows.
"Nope. I have to go to class and if we don't leave soon you're going to see another side of me. A side you don't want to see. I need coffee, Elias, like now."
"Okay, okay." He raises his arms up in surrender as he backs away from me. "Let me get my bag and we can take off," he smiles.
Once we get inside his car I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding. I didn't think it would bother me this much if I seen Logan or not but I guess it does, and I'm glad I didn't.
As awkward as it was to see the other guys, I was thankful they didn't make a big deal out of what happened yesterday. They talked to me as if nothing happened and I'm thankful for that.
"Where to?" Elias breaks me out of my thoughts.
"Oh, umm... let's go to Mochas and Javas. I need to text Bella, so she can meet us there." I tell Elias as I pull out my phone and text Isabella.
"Alright." Before he can put his BMW M340 into reverse we see Logan come out of the house. Elias' knuckles turn white as he squeezes the steering wheel tightly.
Logan must of felt us looking because his eyes turn in our direction and our eyes lock. A look of sadness crosses his face and he quickly turns away before I can.
"Let's go." I say to Elias as I put my seatbelt on.
The car ride to Mochas and Javas is quiet with the only sound being heard is the background music playing quietly throughout the car.
"Are you okay?" I tuck a piece of hair behind my ear and look at Elias.
"Yeah." He smiles before leaning in to kiss me. "Everything is perfect.
"Please don't lie to me, Elias." I look at my hands that are on my lap. "I don't want y'all fighting because of me. I don't want to be the one who ruins a good friendship."
"Hey, look at me." He cups my face. "You did nothing wrong and the reason I'm angry is because Logan skipped practice this morning. He knows how much we need him there and he bailed on us. Now let's get you some coffee."
We walk into Mochas and Javas and right away the smell of coffee and pastries hits my senses and I have to hold in a moan.
Elias throws his arm over my shoulder as we walk to the back of the line. I hear whispering and turn to a group of girls giving me the "go to hell look."
"I think your fan girls hate me." I whisper quietly so only Elias and I can hear in which he chuckles.
"Let's give them a show then." He whispers in my ear then grabs the back of my neck and pulls me in for a kiss that left me breathless.
I hear gasps coming from the group of girls and roll my eyes.
"That's a good way to either shut them up or piss them off." Bella says coming up to us with a big smile on her face.
"Hey, babe." I say as she pulls me in for a hug before turning to Elias and hugging him.
"You just put a target on my besties back now." She playfully glares at Elias as she bumps his shoulder with hers.
Elias laughs as he steps up to the counter to order our drinks as Bella and I go to find us a seat. "Oh, before I forget here's your schedule." I open up my backpack and give it to her.
"Thanks, babe." Her smile quickly drops from her face when her brother walks in with Dimitri. I feel a pang of guilt as I see the hurt and sadness in her eyes.
"How's he doing?" I whisper looking at Logan.
His shirt is wrinkled, his hair is a mess and he has deep bags under his eyes. He doesn't look like the Logan I once deeply loved.
"I wouldn't really know. He hasn't really talked to me since he confessed his undying love for you yesterday." She frowns as she looks in her brothers direction. "We went to eat yesterday, but he really didn't talk to me. It was kind of awkward."
Before I can ask her if she knew about it Elias comes over and hands us our drinks. "Thank you!" I smile up at him as he sits next to me.
"Yeah, thanks Eli," she smiles before looking back to her brother who is glaring at her.
"Go." I nod my head towards Logan. "I'll see you in class."
"Thanks, babe." She kisses me before hugging Elias. "Oh and thanks for the coffee, Eli."
"No problem." He smiles at her before looking at me. "You ready to go?"
Elias helps me up and carries my backpack. "Yeah. Let's go." I say as he reaches for my hand to hold and I turn away from Logan's eyes that are now filled with hurt.
I shake off the feeling once we're in the car and heading back to campus as we begin to make small talk. "What's your plans after classes?" Elias asks as he looks at me quickly before shifting his eyes back to the road.
"Me and Bella are going to Chik-fil-A, then to our room to do our homework and study. What about you?"
"Homework and study, practice then run." He shrugs his shoulders. "Here put your number in my phone and text yourself so we'll have each other's number." He hands me his phone after unlocking it and I save my number in his phone and do the same for mine, before handing it back to him.
I look at the time and see that it's eight-forty-five. Crap. I should of been there by eight-thirty.
"Do you want me to walk you?" Elias interrupts my thoughts.
He gets out of the car before I can answer him and gets my backpack from the back seat before walking around and opening my door. "No. I'm okay. I don't want to make you late for your class." I smile up at him as he pulls me in.
"I don't mind." He says while looking down at me before kissing me with hunger and after a minute or two we break apart when we hear two girls giggling as they walk by us.
"Text me when you get out and if you need anything; call me." He wraps his arms around my shoulders and kisses my lips a couple of times before kissing my head.
"Okay." I get on my tip toes and kiss him one more time for good luck.
He grabs a handful of my butt and squeezes as Isabella pulls up and begins to laugh. "See you later, Grace."
