Now who said it was a good idea to take little Kasumi out on a shopping trip?

I mean, it was a great idea at first.

The two husbands were so excited and had prepared a bunch of necessities to bring. They had prepared and planned everything beforehand and even created backup plans incase something didn't go as planned.

They wanted this first mall experience to be perfect for little Kasumi, since it was the first time Kasumi had gone out the house after her discharge.

She finally gets to see the real world.

She couldn't wait!

But how...

How in the world did Kasumi disappear from their sight?!

The Oikawa family had stopped and sat on one of the mall benches to catch their breath a few seconds ago. So how?!

Considering Kasumi disappeared once they had gotten too comfy on the bench, she must've not gone far.

Oikawa was panicking and pacing back and forth. He'd also try and keep a look-out every now and then if Kasumi had gone back and would often ask the people around him if they'd seen Kasumi.

"E-Excuse me. Have you seen this girl? She's my daughter and the last time I was with her was when we were on the bench right there." Oikawa shows a picture of his daughter to the old couple and the panic was evident in his eyes.

The old couple felt sorrow upon seeing this man struggle in finding his daughter. "I'm sorry...We haven't seen her.."

Oikawa sighs and sniffs before bowing his head, "Its alright. Please do come back to this spot if you've seen her anywhere." Oikawa expresses his gratitude and sends the old couple away, his grip around his phone tightened.

What if something happened to Kasumi?

Oh god, he'd never forgive himself. He should've taken a closer eye on Kasumi to make sure she didn't try to get lost.

Oikawa felt his knuckles turning white from gripping his phone too hard.

He could only wish and pray that Kasumi was safe and sound and managed to find policemen roaming around the mall like they taught her in case anything like this happens.

He also wished Kageyama would've found her by now and brought her back to them.

Oikawa bit his lip harshly before he approached yet, another couple.

---

"Papa!!"

The two rushed towards the source of the sound and found themselves in front of their daughter, who was right beside a police officer.

"Are these your parents?" The policemen questioned Kasumi but he didn't get the chance to do so, due to Kasumi running to her fathers with open arms. She crashes into them and sobs loudly. "Kasumi scared! I found policie man!"

Kageyama felt himself tear up and he could only wipe his daughter's tears away and pat her back softly, attempting to calm her down. "Its okay...Papa's here...Shh..."

Oikawa sighs in relief and bows his head to the policeman, "Thank you for bringing back our daughter to us. I owe you big time."

"Oh. Oikawa?"

Oikawa opened his blood-shot eyes and lifted his head.

"I knew that voice sounded familiar!" Daichi tips his hat and flashes the former captain a big grin, happy to see a familiar face around the mall.

Daichi was the police officer?!

"O-Oh! Sawamura..!" Oikawa immediately bursted into tears and flung himself to the police officer, making Daichi grunt and stumble a little bit. "Thank you, thank you, thank you!!! I really owe you lot!!"

Daichi chuckles before patting Oikawa's back, "No need. I'm just doing what any friend and police officer would do." He then sheepishly scratched his nape, "But I was very concerned when I saw Kasumi all alone and she was just standing there and gripping her dress. So I took her with me."

Daichi locked eyes with Oikawa and his expression was filled with curiousity, "But why was she all alone when I saw her? Did you guys lost her or did she walk off?"

Oikawa groans and pulls his chestnut hair in frustration, feeling his eyes burning and tearing up again, "..I don't know?! Maybe both? Ack!! I'm such a bad parent!"

Kasumi sees this and stops hugging her other dad. She sniffs and made her way to her emotional dad and hugged his leg.

"Dada, no crycry! Uncle Sawa help Kasumi find Dada and Papa!" Kasumi cries on her father's leg and staining it with her tears.

As the Oikawa family bid goodbyes with officer Daichi, they ended up going to the toy store to pick out a new toy for Kasumi so she could atleast calm down and forget what had happened earlier.

It seemed to work for a short while but Kasumi still felt the lingering overwhelming feeling in her heart. But it was replaced with the growing warmth from how tight yet gentle her parents were holding her two, small hands.

They'll have to start taking a closer eye on Kasumi more often.
