The sun was setting over the familiar household, casting a warm hue through the living room windows.

Three-year-old Kasumi was bouncing around, her giggles filling the air as she played with her toys. Oikawa and Kageyama watched with loving smiles, enjoying the tranquility of their evening.

Kasumi had just started to explore the world with more curiosity and independence. Today, she had been particularly adventurous, running around the living room with an energy that seemed boundless.

"Careful, Kasumi," Oikawa called out playfully as he watched her zoom past. "Don't run too fast!"

But Kasumi was too caught up in her game to heed her father's warning. She darted across the room, her tiny feet slipping slightly on the polished wooden floor. As she turned sharply to dodge an imaginary obstacle, she lost her balance and tumbled onto the carpet.

Oikawa and Kageyama exchanged worried glances as Kasumi let out a startled cry. Kageyama was the first to react, quickly crossing the room to kneel beside their daughter. "Kasumi! Are you okay?" he asked gently, his voice laced with concern.

Kasumi's tears were flowing freely now, her little face scrunched up in pain. "Daddy, it hurts," she whimpered, holding her scraped knee.

Kageyama carefully picked her up, cradling her in his arms. "Shh, it's okay. Let's get you cleaned up."

Oikawa joined them, grabbing the first aid kit from the cupboard. He approached with a comforting smile, though his own worry was evident. "Kasumi, let's take a look at that knee, okay? I'm sure it'll be better in no time."

Kageyama gently sets Kasumi down on the couch, and Oikawa began to tend to her injury.

Kasumi watched with wide eyes as Oikawa cleaned the scrape using a warm, clean cloth, his movements calm and reassuring.

"Ouch!" Kasumi winced as the antiseptic touches her skin, but she remained still, trusting her fathers.

"Sorry, sweetheart," Oikawa said softly, his voice full of empathy. "I know it stings a bit, but we need to clean it so it doesn't get infected. It'll feel better soon."

Kageyama sat beside them, gently holding Kasumi's hand. "You're so brave, Kasumi. You know, when I was little, I had a lot of scrapes and bruises too. It's all part of growing up."

Kasumi sniffled but looked up at her father with a curious expression. "Did you cry too, Daddy?"

Kageyama chuckled softly. "Of course. It hurt just like it does now. But it's okay to cry when you're hurt. It means you're strong and feeling things."

Oikawa finished applying a colorful bandage to Kasumi's knee, which seemed to lift her spirits a bit. "See? All better now. And look, you've got a bandage with your favorite cartoon characters."

Kasumi inspected her knee with a small smile, her tears fading as she saw the bandage. "Thank you, Papa 'Tru," she said, her voice filled with gratitude.

Oikawa gave her a gentle kiss on the forehead. "You're always welcome, sweetheart. And remember, if you ever get hurt again, we'll always be here to help you."

Kageyama wrapped his arm around both Kasumi and Oikawa, pulling them into a warm hug. "We're a team," he said, his voice full of love. "And we'll always take care of each other."

Kasumi snuggled into her fathers, comforted by their presence. "I love you, Daddy. I love you, Papa."

Oikawa and Kageyama exchanged smiles, their hearts swelling with affection. "We love you too, Kasumi," Oikawa said softly.

"Now...Who's in the mood for ice cream?" Kageyama asked with a chuckle as he got up and headed towards the kitchen, causing Kasumi to gasp with anticipation. "Cookies and Cream?" she calls out.

"Cookies and Cream!" Kageyama's voice echoed back, making Kasumi shout with excitement.

Oikawa could only chuckle, enjoying the joyful scene.

As they settled into the evening, Kasumi's spirits were lifted, her injury now a mere bump in the road of her adventurous life.

The love and support from her fathers were more than enough to soothe her fears, and together, they continued their evening with a renewed sense of warmth and togetherness, while eating icecream together.
