Most people don't understand swimming, but that only because they don't know the feeling of flying off the block. For in that moment the world freezes and you are weightless with nothing on your mind but your lane and this race. How it could be your best one ever or your worst one ever. You never really know until you touch the wall, your heart beating faster than ever before, gasping for your breath like you haven't had a descent one for days, peering at the scoreboard with anxiety while it processes your time, the moment of triumph when you beat the person next to you by a hundredth of a second. So unless you've jumped off the block before, don't tell tell me swimming isn't a sport, that it's easy.
I know for a fact that it isn't.
