In an Alternate Reality III

P:3 Ch:3

It was nighttime. Eren woke and saw a man hugging Historia. He had a gag in his mouth and was tied up. The only thing he could do is listen.

"I beg for your forgiveness, child. Please know that everything I've done was to protect you." the man said.

"Fa-Father?" Historia said in disbelief.

"Not a day has passed were I have a thought of you. Long have I dreamed of a day I could hold you like this.... You are special. The blood of the king flows through your veins." the man said.

Historia began crying.

"Is that...true?"

"Yes, Historia. The royal bloodline is carried by the Reiss family. And as its heir, the power to save all of you humanity rest in your hands.... Please, Historia. Come with me and I'll show where it all began." Rod said as he stood up and took his daughter's hand.

*Time Skip*

After a long session of torture, Hanji put Sannes, an MP, back in his cell with the other one they captured. Sannes began strangling the other as he felt betrayed. Hanji left them to it and went to another room to take out her anger. She began kicking all the wooden chairs and tables to take out her all her build up anger. Levi heard the commotion and entered the room just see this. Hanji immediately froze up.

"I'm sorry. Seems I made a mess. I encountered a large cockroach."

"I see. Well, as hard as you kicked it, I bet it learned its lesson...It's time you fill them in." Levi said them walked away.

*Time Skip*

"So, they intent to eat Eren?" Armin asked a little shaken.

"Yeah. Eren remembered a conversation between Ymir and Bertholdt. Based on this, we can speculate that Ymir was once a mindless Titan just like the others. Until she consumed someone from Bertholdt and Reiner's group. We've never seen a Titan turn back into a human by eating one before. That said, Reiner's comrades aren't normal humans. And there's a different set of rules for humans that can turn into Titans. My thought is this: if a Titan eats someone with that power, then they'll transform back into a human. What's more, they'll obtain whatever power that human has. If the government has a Titan of its own, they'll use it to eat Eren." Hanji explained.

As Mikasa listened, she was getting all the more anxious and worried. She was about to leave to get ready to save Eren, but Levi stopped her.

"Calm down. I know you want to get Eren back but going on a rampage won't help with that." Levi said with a hand on Mikasa's shoulder.

"Anyway, we're going for Rod Reiss's estate. Prepare to leave at once." Levi ordered.

"Yes, sir." Everyone said and left the room to get geared up.

*Time Skip*

Squad Levi was in a forest. Armin walked up to Levi and handed him a flyer.

"The MPs were handing out these flyers. If this is true, the Scouts will be disbanded. The say they'll be hunting for us in the mountains tonight. They are also posting guards on all the vital roads. No one can get through them without a pass. So, Captain. What now?" Armin questioned. As Armin explained, Levi read the flyer.

"We need to hurry and find Eren." Mikasa stated.

"He'll be fine. They're taking him on a wagon. That gives us one day before they reach Reiss's estate. And we need every second we can get to come up with a plan." Levi stated.

"Captain, I hear footsteps." Sasha said.

Everyone got on guard.

"Sounds like they're approaching." Sasha added.
