The rattling of chains echoed through the ice-like cavern as Eren shook around a little bit. Historia was standing in front of Eren.

"Eren, listen. My father has always been humanity's ally. His only goal is to keep the people within the walls safe. It is clear to me now that we misunderstood him. He didn't deny anything. It's true that he went after the Scouts. And it's true that his people did kill Pastor Nick. But he did that because he had no choice. Everything he has done, he did it for the sake of humanity."

"Bullshit!" Eren yelled inside his head.

"Thank you, Historia..." Rod said walking behind his daughter.

"Please let me explain the rest." Rod said as he took his daughter's hand and walked up the steps to the cliff Eren was chained up to.

"If you were wondering, no, you've never been here before. Although, you might recognize it nonetheless."

Eren slightly looked back at the two. Rod extended his hand and Historia did the same. As soon as both hands contacted his back, he instantly began receiving memories. This time, it was from a distant future. Or was it?

Everything was pitch black. The screams of people rung while stomps chased after them. For a split second, Eren saw buildings flattened by massive feet, blood staining the roads, a massive skeleton-like structure with the face of a demon in the middle of all this. A demonic voice began playing in his head.

"The Titans of the walls will trample and rumble all of the lands beyond this island. Until the lives there.... Are eliminated from this world!"

The flashback ended and Eren's eyes were peeled open.

"What is this? These can't be mine...But...I have the feeling they are."

"Well? Do you remember? Have you learned of your father's sin?" Rod asked.

Historia had a tear in her eye as she began to remember Frieda Reiss, her older sister.

"How could ...How could I forget? In all that time? I was never alone. I had her. She was always there for me. She gave me books. Taught me to read and write. She was so kind to me. So could I forget?"

"I take it you're talking about Frieda?"

"Frieda?"

"If it was a kindhearted young woman with long black hair, then I would imagine it would have been Frieda Reiss. She was your half-sister. You must have been worried and gone to check up on you from time to time. If she was erasing your memories, know that she did it to protect you."

"So that's why I forgot her?"

"That's right. Touching him must have brought those memories back to you. An unexpected side effect."

As the two continued to discuss family matters, Eren was still pondering about those memories he received. His train of thought broken as Rod began explaining what Grisha Jaeger did to the Reiss family.

"Grisha had the ability to transform into a Titan. I still don't know how he obtained it. But his goal was to steal something from the Reiss family. What Grisha sought to obtain was power. The power of the Reiss family which resided within Frieda. Frieda's Titan was far superior to all the others. In theory, she had unsurpassable power. However, at her young age she lacked the experience to wield it properly. And because she couldn't unleash her true potential, Grisha ate her and in doing so stole her power. But that wasn't enough. He turned his gaze to the children. He wanted to eradicate the Reiss family." Rod explained.

Eren began to think back to the flashback he received earlier.

"That man.... He was the one responsible for all this. But who is he exactly? I've seen that man before."
