In an Alternate Reality III

P:3 Ch:6

The Scouts went deeper into the cavern when they saw a bright yellow light at the end of it. They all got worried especially Mikasa. They need to hurry.

Meanwhile, Eren and Historia ran up the steps of the cliff. Once they were the farthest, they could go, they just watched as Rod transformed. The spine just kept on extending.

"Look at the size of the bastard." Eren said in a stern tone.

The wind and steam being emitted by the transformation sent both flying against the wall. Eren hit the wall and Historia lost her footing but was caught by Mikasa. All the Levi Squad managed to make it to them.

Rod's Titan continued to form. The roof began to crack and soon started to collapse. They all stood back as the transformation continued. Eren was thinking of what to do.

"Shit." He said while he scratched his head. Everyone turned to look at him.

"Transforming into a Titan won't help. I'll only get crushed."

He began to look around for anything to help them escape and noticed a small flask by Jean's foot. He grabbed it and read the label which said "Armor". Everyone began thinking of ways to get themselves out of the situation. Levi noted the flask he held.

"We can't stand here and take it. Listen, Jaeger. I hate to do it to you, but you've gotta make a choice." Levi said. Eren looked at Levi then looked back down. He slightly gritted his teeth and put the flask to his mouth. He walked in front of everyone and quickly picked up his pace. He was abnormally quick, he reached the tip of the cliff, and jumped off. He bit down on the flask and began to transform into a Titan. His Titan appeared. As soon as his Titan appeared, he began to create a wall out of the hardening material.

"Everyone! Get under Eren, now!" Levi shouted. Everyone followed his order.

The cavern began to collapse. The terrain began to split open revealing the 120-meter Rod Reiss Titan. It was all torso, skinny arms and legs, and was emitting massive clouds of steam as it moved.

The Levi Squad managed to survive thanks to Eren. Eren was fully conscious inside his Titan which was hardened. He began punching the hardening material until it began to crack. Mikasa was helping as she said his name.

"Eren." Her voiced echoed inside nape where Eren was. He punched the crystal-like material until it shattered at the impact of his fists. He grabbed onto the edges of his Titan with one hand. He extended his other hand, Mikasa grabbed it, and pulled him out with relative ease.

Everyone else waited at the base of his Titan as Mikasa was finally reunited with him. Eren stood up and looked at Mikasa who looked at him a little teary-eyed. He looked down and his face grew much softer.

"I'm sorry for uh...leaving you."

Mikasa simply brought him into a tight hug.

"It's okay, dear. You were taken by force." She whispered in his ear.

"Dear?"

At that moment, she felt protected never wanting to pull away, but all good things come to an end. She hesitantly pulled away and brought Eren to where everyone was at.

"Not too shabby, Jaeger. Even after we cut you from it, the Titan hasn't disappeared. This could be a game-changer." Levi stated.

Eren stayed quiet and remembered the flask he drank from.

"Right before I transformed, I drank from a flask that read "Armor"."

"Gotcha. Guess that's all you needed to pull it off. You saved all our lives. You came up and built everything we see here in a blink of an eye. It's not exactly pretty, but I can see its potential. I bet this is how the walls were made too...Guess what? This means we finally have a real shot at plugging the hole in Wall Maria. We had a hell of a time getting here. Took long detours, watched friends die. But as ugly as it's been, look at the position we're in now." Levi stated.
