In an Alternate Reality III

P:3 Ch:10

Eren and the Armored Titan looked at each other not breaking eye contact. The Levi Squad felt an intensity coming from Eren. They all turned to look at him and noticed their stare down. Erwin began to give orders to remain still and not engage in combat.

"Why are you looking at me like that for? If you're that eager to die, then I'd be glad to help." Eren threatened Reiner in a rather dark and cold tone.

Eren followed Erwin's order and kept an eye on Reiner to make sure he didn't try to do anything. The Beast Titan then let out a roar as he slammed the ground. Some of his Titans began to run at full speed toward the wall. Erwin began to give commands.

"Levi Squad and Hanji Squad, I need you to take down the Armored Titan. Deploy the Thunder Spears at your own discretion. Do whatever it takes to achieve your objective. This is our moment! Our chance to strike! The fate of humankind depends on this battle! Lay down your hearts and lives! One final time for humanity!"

Everyone followed orders. Hanji began to hand out the Thunder Spears. Eren and Mikasa were handed the most amount of Thunder Spears for obvious reasons. Mikasa was given four Thunder Spears and Eren was given six. Everyone else got two for themselves. They went off to fight the Armored Titan who was still waiting for Eren. Eren then transformed in an open area right behind Reiner. The Armored Titan turned around to face Eren.

Eren stood still and began to harden his hands.

"His primary objective was to get to the horses which would remove our way of escape. To do that, he would have needed to escalate the wall, but he knew not to. I need to draw out Bertholdt from wherever he's hiding." Eren thought.

"This is not going to be easy for you, Reiner. This will not be like the last time we fought."

The Armored Titan began to walk towards Eren while Eren stood still and waited for him. Reiner was good distance away from Eren, so he began charging at him.

Eren simply moved out the way and made Reiner hit one of the nearby buildings. He turned around and began to run toward Eren and got ready to tackle him to the ground. Eren slipped out of the way, he hardened his foot, and kicked Reiner right in the stomach which shattered the plates of armor on its abdomen and on his lower back.

Reiner stood up and began to throw punches at Eren, but this fight was nothing like their first. Eren was far too much to handle for even Annie who had the better technique than Reiner. Eren in Titan Form was far too quick for a creature that size; he kept slipping out of the way. Eren then landed a punch on the Armored Titan's face which completely disfigured it and sent Reiner tumbling backwards.

"What the hell is going? What happened in those four months? This is nothing like what happened back then. Has he done it? Has he activated the powers of the Founder?"

Reiner then noticed the pink light emanating from Eren's eyes which answered all his questions.

*Meanwhile*

The Scout recruits were ordered to move the horses and keep them separate so they won't all get destroyed. As they did that, the higher-up members of the Survey Corps were killing the Titans the Beast Titan send their way.

Levi killed some of the Titans that were heading straight for the recruits with the horses. He then landed on a roof.

"Finish killing the small ones already! Get it done before the Beast Titan moves! And no casualties; don't you dare get eaten!" He ordered.

"Yes, sir!" the soldiers yelled then went off to kill the Titans.

"Shit, who the hell am I kidding? These kids are gonna drop like flies." Levi said then looked back to the top of the wall where Commander Erwin was.

"The Scouts have grown weak. Most of our veterans have been buried or burned. Still if not for the lives we sacrificed, we never would've made it half this far. When I was Cadet, I told the others of my father's theory. I said that I was going to prove him right, but once I joined the Scouts, I stopped talking about it for some reason. No... That's wrong...It wasn't some reason. I realized something. Out of all my brave comrades, only one was fighting for himself. They let him die for each other while I fought for a selfish dream. When I came to lead my comrades, I gave them orders and inspiring words: Be brave, give your hearts to humanity. I played them all for fools. My self included. And now standing on this mountain of brave corpses, I have quite the view.... Grisha's secret lingers in the back of my mind. Even if this plan should fail. There's a chance that I could still reach that cellar...Before I die, I'd like to see it. The truth of our world."

Back to the Titan clash, Eren was mercilessly beating down the Armored Titan who was slumped against a destroyed building. Blow after blow, nothing mattered. The Armored Titan's armor was getting smashed like thin ice.

Reiner somehow managed to slip out the way and grabbed a hold of Eren's right foot. He swung Eren around, but Eren got out of his grasps. With his left leg, he kicked Reiner's side which freed him, he then gave him the same treatment. Eren grabbed Reiner's leg and swung him around until he smashed him onto a rooftop. He smashed Reiner onto the rooftop almost as if it was a knife cutting butter. The slam shattered the Earth underneath him and caused a fierce gust of wind to blow.

Everyone else were a couple blocks away, but even still, they could all feel the ferociousness of the battle.

"Is there even a need for us?" Connie asked with eyes widened.

The Armored Titan laid dormant on the shattered ground while Eren stood over him.

"I have to draw out Bertholdt. One way or the other, she's coming out of her hiding spot."

Eren raised his fist ready to begin pounding Reiner to the ground. He was about to put all his force into it when the Armored Titan let out roar. Eren stopped and lowered his fist.

Over the wall, the Beast Titan launched a barrel up in air. The barrel went past the wall and over to where everyone else was at.

"There he is."
