*Ding dong bing bong*

The school bell went off. Joe grabbed his backpack and went to do his routine.  Leave the class. Find Sara, either watch her from afar or get dragged into conversation by Ryoko. Speaking of the devil...

"Heya Joe! I'm going to see Sara want to come with me? I know you have a little crush on her." Ryoko liked teasing Joe. Ryoko saw Joe as a friend but Joe saw her nothing more than an annoying classmate. He thinks that all she's good for is helping him interact with Sara.

"Yeah, sure. Just don't say anything awkward." Joe walked with Ryoko down the hall to Sara's class. Ryoko and Joe have all the same classes, but Joe only shares one class with Sara. And that's where he met Sara. The love of his life.

~Flashback time~

It was art class and everyone was partnered in two. Partners had to paint each other. Joe was partnered with Sara and this is where he met her. She never stuck out to Joe until they were partnered up. Joe just saw her as a classmate. Nothing more, nothing less.

"Hey, you're Joe right? We're partners, and I'm glad we are because we never got the chance to talk!" Sara smiled at him. Joe's heart warmed, and his stomach filled with butterflies. He don't know why he felt like this.

"Uh, yeah I am. Let's get started." Joe grabbed the paint and brushes, and Sara grabbed the canvas's. They sat down and looking at each other.

"Heh, just a warning but I'm terrible at drawing. I drew a tiger before and the whole class never ever mentioned it ever again. It was so bad that they didn't even bother making fun of it. So sorry if I make you look like a hot mess. This and swimming is my worst skill." Sara giggled and Joe got more butterflies in his stomach. He blushed a tiny bit. Sara started sketching but Joe just starred at her. He saw her as some kind of goddess. Then a black haired girl walked behind her and laughed.

"Pffft! What is that Sara? I knew that you didn't know how to draw but I didn't know you were this bad!" Ryoko laughed at Sara's drawing and Sara turned red from embarrassment. Joe thought that Ryoko was a bully for a second but then he remembered that they hung out quite a bit. Still teasing her like that in front of everyone made him a little mad.

"Is it really that bad?" Sara looked up at Ryoko and said it quietly Ryoko nodded. Sara looked down again and covered her face with her hands.

"Here I'll sketch it for you but you have to color it. You're terrible at drawing but you're surprisingly well with coloring. It's a bit unsettling how terrible you are at drawing but amazing with coloring and shading." Ryoko smiled at Sara and sketched Joe for her. Sara watched closely even though she knew she wouldn't learn or pick up any skill while watching. Ryoko was quick with sketching she tried to draw perfect lines so Sara didn't screw much up.

"Thanks Ryoko, you're the best!" Sara gave Ryoko a big smile. Ryoko smied back and walked away. Sara suddenly had a determined look on her face and started coloring. Joe realized that he should start sketching. Joe was a tiny bit above average for drawing due to his creativity. Sara was waiting for some paint to dry until Joe met him... The obstacle in order for Sara and him to get together.

"Hey Sarsar you still coming to my football practice after school?" It was a random jock from the football team. Usually the jocks never cared how the girl the wanted to date or dated acted. They just needed the girl to be hot.

"Oh yeah I am! I wouldn't lie to you about me being there." Sara gave the jock a smile and he gave a thumbs up and walked away. Joe didn't know why but he felt angry. Then he realized, Sara is the only one that can light up his dark life. He needed Sara for himself.
