I call over a couple of my guards and tell them to follow the girls as they run off after eating. "So, Ryan said we had someone on the property last night. They stayed just out of view of the cameras, so I am bringing in some of the men as live security," I say as I turn back to watch the boy's reaction to the news. "Until we know what's going on and who the person or people were, I want someone with or having eyes on Annabeth at all times. If she is in the kitchen and I am not around, one of you better be in there also. If no one can be with her someone better is checking the cameras every few minutes." "Got it. 24/7 protection for the boss' Kitten." Timmy says with a smirk. I grin, "Yea yea Timmy. Tease me all you want, but don't blame me later, when you go too far and I shoot you." His smirk falls off and he looks away, then it springs back onto his face and he stares at me, "You wouldn't do that because I'll tell Anna, and then she'll be mad at you. Can't have the Kitten mad at you. Ha." I clear my throat and lean my elbows on the table, who said she would find out it was me?" his smile slips a little, "I would tell her." I throw my head back with a laugh," Who do you think she will believe? I think she will believe me more than you because she likes me better." Timmy deflates completely and grumbles, "Mean. Are we gonna follow them now or what?" Mikey chuckles, "And you guys say I'm the childish one." Ignoring Mikey,I turn my head back in the direction the girls disappeared to, "Knowing Sera, they are already at the other end of the mall and every store they have entered is probably almost empty." The boys all chuckle and I notice Toni, who hadn't said anything since our sister got here, staring silently in the same direction. "Let's go catch up to them." Mikey jumps up and starts off in the girl's general direction with everyone else following. I hang back with Toni, letting the others get ahead and ask," What's wrong? You seem distracted." He just looks at me then off into the distance again. "I think something is wrong with Seraphina. She wasn't acting like herself." He glances at me from the corner of his eye after saying this. " what do you mean? She was being her same threatening, crazy
self." "Yea except she was quiet and never took her eye off her phone. Her expression, while she was on her phone, wasn't a good one either. " He sighs but relaxes a little when we see the girls run across the walkway, from one store to another. I look over to see one of my guards walking out of the mall carrying a bunch of bags so I point them out," Well she seems fine now. But we can have some of my men check out her phone activity if it will make you feel better." The corner of his mouth jerks a little," Yeah. I think I'll just keep an eye on her for now." I slap my hand on Toni's shoulder, not so gently. "You do that. Let me know if anything comes up or if you change your mind. She's my sister too, if either of us notices any other change I'm checking her phone." We approach Tim, Tom, Donny, and Mikael. I stand in front of them and cross my arms," Why are you guys just sitting here instead of in the store with the ladies. Mikey smirks at me as yells," Ok!" He starts to get up only to be stopped by Timmy's hand slapping onto the top of his head," Sit down idiot. Boss, I don't think you'd want us in this store with your Kitten." With a furrowed brow I question why. I hear a throat clear and see Tom point behind me at the store. I slowly turn to see a lingerie store. I immediately get hard thinking of Anna in lingerie. I can just picture her sweet little self in lace and satin nightdresses, sitting on our bed with lust-filled eyes. I space out long enough that I almost don't notice when the girls come out of the store with a bunch of pink bags. I only come out of my daydream when I hear Donny ask," Hey girls, did you find anything good?" I barely have time to subtly adjust myself before anyone notices. "Oh yeah, we found some great outfits. Here Emi, I stole your credit card." Sera hands me my credit card. "I assumed you wouldn't mind, since it was for your Kitten, and that you said buy everything she liked." I slightly glare at her as she pats my shoulder and hands the bags to the guards. I Smile at my Kitten and stuff the card in my back pocket," Did you have fun, kitten?" She shyly nods, looking down. "Words kitten." She whips her head up to look at me," sorry. Yes, I had fun." With a big smile, I place my hand on her lower back, watching as she blushes a deep, beautiful red. "That's good, let's go look around a little more." She suddenly comes to a stop and I look down at her," What's wrong kitten?" She looks up at me with a small frown. She just stares at me with the little frown on her face and then looks at her hands and starts picking at her nails. "Kitten, look at me," I say in as soft of a voice I can. Instead of doing what I say she looks away from me, towards the others, and watches as they get farther and farther away. This makes me upset so I drag her over to a little alcove and push her up against the wall. I use one hand and hold her chin, making sure she has no choice but to look me in the eyes. My other hand lays lightly on her right shoulder. "Annabeth, tell me what's wrong. Why is there a frown on that beautiful face of yours?" she blushes even deeper and goes still. Her eyes start to shine with tears. She whimpers out, "You'll just get madder." She closes her eyes as I let go of her chin and take a step back, amazed that she is afraid I would get mad at her. I don't take the time to think. I gently cup her face in my hands. "Anna, honey, open your eyes for me please." She slowly opens her pretty eyes and looks directly into mine. "What makes you think that I'm mad at you?"
