PARKERS POV

"You should have let me kill him." I said slamming the door shut behind me.

"You almost did!" Cole yelled. "He didn't  know where they were."

I ran over to the sink and rinsed off the blood on my hands.

"Plus the cops would have arrested you if they knew you were gonna torture him."

I shut off the water and grabbed a dish towel. The bottom of the towel read "ADAMS".  Jesus how have I never noticed they have custom towels here?

"I still can't believe you called the police." I complained.

"Parker you can't seriously be mad at me right now." He barked at me.

"Whatever." I said angrily.

I was really mad at Cole, more mad at what a dead end the Cowboy was.

The words, "you were just a distraction" and "I was bored so I wanted something new" would forever make me want to jump off a bridge.

That bastard killed a helpless little boy just because he could.

A noise from upstairs startled us both.

We looked at each other, and walked over towards the stairs.

"Lila?" I called out as we went upstairs.

We got to the top and then heard the noise again, coming from the office.

I went in quickly to see blood everywhere. Lila laid on the floor covered in blood, but she wasn't alone.

Emilie laid motionless across from her also covered in blood.

"Oh my god, what happened?" I knelt down and lifted Lilas head.

"I'll dial 911!" Cole grabbed out his cellphone.

Lila opened her eyes and grabbed my hand. "I- I found them." She whispered.

"Found who?" I asked.

"They're on their way." Cole said coming back into the room.

"Your dad, maybe Ben." She said.

Cole knelt down on the other side of her and folded a shirt to press onto her wound.

"What do you mean?" I asked.

"Go look on the computer." She said.

I looked up at the computer and then back down at her.

"I got her, go look." Cole said.

I went over to the computer and wiggled the mouse. It didn't change the screen from black. I pressed the monitor on and that's when I saw the file.

"You think their at my grandparents lake house? I didn't even know there was a lake house." I said looking through the photos.

"No time to explain, you need to get to Vermont now." Lila groaned in pain.

"I can't just leave you here." I sighed.
