"Really Charles?" Raven asked him in exasperation, rolling her eyes as she did so. Charles gave her the cutest puppy-dog eyes Erik had EVER seen, making him sweat even more. As Charles pleaded for the homework, Erik's eyes kept flitting back and forth between his meal and Charles. Emma gave him a smug little smile, her telepathy kicking in as Erik tried to push Charles out of his thoughts. Is he the one Erik? I'm sure we can get you two together! Emma was thinking, her words reflecting in Erik's mind rather loudly. Erik contemplated this idea before nearly smacking himself. He didn't need a partner, he had already stressed that to Emma! Plus, Charles was a guy. Erik shook his head, making sure Emma saw. This whole "conversation" distracted him enough that he didn't realize Charles sitting across from him with a packet of homework to copy down.

Instead of speaking, Erik ignored him, picking at his food awkwardly. Are you feeling alright sir? That voice asked him, startling him to the point of jumping up from his seat. "You're a telepath?!" Erik asked in surprise, pushing away his thoughts about Charles to the nonexistent corner of his mind so that Charles wouldn't notice them.

"Yes. And you are?" Charles asked, not actually looking up from his homework but smiling to himself. This new kid seemed rather amusing to him.

"I'm Erik Lehnsherr, I'm also a mutant. I can control metal." That seemed to be the boy's way of introducing himself-- his name, and then his mutation. This made Charles smile even wider, Erik seemed to be the type of person who was proud of his mutation.

"Charles Xavier. Nice to meet you, Erik." Charles introduced himself properly, holding out his hand for Erik to shake. With a bit of restraint (and a blush from Erik) the two of them shook hands, Charles choosing not to look away from Erik's eyes as Erik focused on the lunch room table in all it's splendor. "I hope we can become friends." If Charles were being honest to himself, he'd admit how attractive Erik was. Charles chose not to because last time he sought romantic feelings from a guy, he was shot down rather violently and it ruined their friendship. With this in mind, he didn't even consider the possibility. Charles would stick to one night stands-- because lets be honest, Charles is quite the flirt and therefore needs to get a bit crazy now and then. Especially when it comes to the kinky stuff.

"I do as well." Erik added, letting go of Charles' hand and returning to his lunch. Charles didn't move, but didn't speak either. He was working on copying Raven's answers onto his own homework, and leaned over to Raven every now and then when he couldn't read her handwriting. Still, Erik watched Charles, a blooming curiosity for the boy growing inside of him. He had figured that once he learned more about Charles he'd be able to calm down about him, but apparently he was wrong. Oh come one, Erik. Just admit it. You have a crush on the kid. Now shut up before he can hear your thoughts due to their VOLUME; quiet down! Emma projected those words into his mind, leaving him to apologize and think of other things.

Charles was sort of bummed he didn't take the time to do his homework, but he was just so busy all of the time, working and practicing and getting laid-- it was quite a bit of work. That's why he was working all of the time. What could he say? You only have so much youth, why spend it in school? Alex, Sean, Hank and Kurt waved to him from a few tables over, excited smiles on their faces as he waved back. He was glad to have friends like them, even if they ween't all that close. Though he had grown up with Raven, he feared they were growing farther apart. Of course, there was this Erik right in front of him, he could always befriends him. Did they have any homeroom class work or homework that had to be done? Charles wasn't sure. What about languages? "Hey, Erik, do you know any German?" Charles asked, knowing he would need tutoring for it eventually He was never the best at languages, or communicating in general. Sometimes he relied too much on his telepathy, but that was a matter for another day.
