Melanie had finally known what everyone had been hiding from her, they all kept telling her it wasn't their story to tell but now she heard it from the owner of the story himself. She thought she'd feel relieved after hearing it but instead what she felt was guilt.
She had always thought worse of the girl in her dreams, thinking she dumped Toby and left him heartbroken. She never thought that maybe the girl didn't have a say in it, maybe she was taken away unwillingly by fate.
A tear rolled down her face, sorrow for the life wasted and the impact it left behind, a monster of a man who doesn't care about life anymore. Her death broke him more than anything else could and she felt his pain in that moment.
"I'm sorry I didn't-"
"Get out!" He said calmly. This time she didn't argue, nodding to his arms disallowing her passage, he removed them reluctantly. She walked to his couch ams picked up her bag, the sorrow she felt was draining all her strength from her.
She walked towards the door without sparing him a glance, pausing at the entrance she sighed..
"I had no idea, I'm so sorry." However, before he could get a chance to reply, she opened the door and got out.
Toby walked back to his desk, sat down and tried to focus in the words he was reading but it as if he was reading a foreign Language, he couldn't understand a thing. In frustration, be slapped the laptop shut and rubbed his eyes.
"Why? Why am I caring if I hurt her or not? What the fuck is wrong with me?" He asked himself but got no reply.

The elevator opened and walked out of it. This time she didn't use the VIP but regular which the receptionist noticed and smiled a satisfied smile thinking she was sent out of the office by Toby.
Melanie totally ignored the blonde bimbo and made her way toward the front door. She entered her car and was about to put it in reverse when her phone rang. She groaned and took it from her purse.
She froze on seeing the caller. Her dad.
So he remembered he actually had three daughters not two. She wondered why. Recollecting that Kevin mentioned something about it she pressed on the green button.
"Hello." She said monotonously. Her father didn't seemed bothered by that and went straight to the point.
"You are coming for a party that will be held at home. I'm making an announcement." He said with with a strained voice.
The amount of authority in his voice annoyed Melanie. She took in a deep breath and released it. She wouldn't argue with him, for her uncle.
"Okay."
"That's it?" James walker asked surprised. Ever since Adele had died, Melanie never did anything amicably with her father. It was always with shouts and threats.
"Yeah old man, bye."
She huffed. Now he'd think all was okay between them all thanks to Kevin.
She reversed and drove off, heading to her she shared with Bryan.

Meanwhile.
Sadie walked into the loner's club her hands fidgeting slightly, she had been to other clubs but none was as intimidating as this one she was in. Though her adrenaline was pumping she couldn't bring herself to have as much fun as she planned to.
She wondered if that was how everyone there felt the first time they were there. Someone shoved her and she stumbled, she would have landed on her face if not for a strong a which wrapped around her waist and pulled her to him.
Sadie stared at the most gorgeous man she had ever set her eyes on. He had a strong set of jaws with stubbles, his warm brown eyes told of his playful and teasing nature above all he was captivating.
He cleared his throat and in the most beautiful voice she had ever heard said.
"Hi, I'm Bryan."
Bryan. A lovely name for an handsome man. She thought.
"Sadie." She said regaining her composure. Maybe the troubles she went through to get a fake ID was worth it after all.

Melanie drove into the compound of her big family's mansion. She took in the surroundings and felt a pang of sadness. She hadn't been there in months and her coming back reminded her of the years she spent there with her mother, everything they shared.
She breathed in, blinking back the tears not wanting to spoil the hardwork she'd done with makeup on her face. Normally, Katrina would have been there to help but she was still angry at Melanie.
She walked towards her former home, nodding to some servants who greeted her and ignoring some. The door to the mansion opened and Melanie could see that a great ball was being held. Men in expensive suits and ladies in latest gowns of the season were interacting, fake smiles plastered on her face.
She took two steps and was engulfed in a big hug by Evangeline. She was shocked to the core, she knew Evangeline liked her a little bit than the rest of the family but wasn't expecting the kind of warm treatment she got.
"You're back! I missed you!" Melanie tapped her, not sure what to do but feeling happy.
"Come on E, let her breath." An annoying voice said and she identified it as her step mother, she suddenly became uptight once more.
What surprised her is that her step mother walked towards them and hugged her. Melanie was frozen.
Seeing that Melanie wasn't going to respond anytime soon, she stopped hugging her and threw on a fake smile which she noticed. Melanie was confused as to why her step mother would hug her and even smile at her even though it was fake.
"Welcome back home, daughter." Her father greeted but didn't smile. His face was totally expressionless though she could see hints of anger in his eyes. What was going on ?
"Come here." James guided her towards a slightly raised podium in the middle of the room and cleared his throat. Melanie was never the nervous type but with everyone's behaviour she was nervous. She hated not knowing what was happening.
James took a deep breath in and Melanie felt his hands shaking as he held her which raised her curiosity.
"Welcome to my humble abode everyone. Please wine and dine to your content and for you all that came here for a business deal I'd like you to meet the new owner of Walker's auto tech industries."
Melanie gasped.
