Preparation is key when dealing with bunkers that are machine infested. Making sure to have ammo, medical supplies, and the special gear set up and ready to go is the most important thing. Now, with the bunkers the ancients had built is nothing but a maze of concrete and metal doors.

Problem is before I go in I have to find their hunter named Aloy, and I have no clue where to look. I'm currently in what I guess is an armory due to the fact there is stockpiles of weapons and ammo, weather it be bundles of arrows or crates of bullets. I've already traded some more things for medical supplies, due to the fact I carry only enough for me so now I need enough for two people, on top of that I needed to get another gas mask because the machines have learned how to shut off the power generator to the entire bunker and flood the room with toxic gas. Other than missing some company I should be all set for the expedition.

Y/N's thoughts: "Where in the hell is that girl? Should I go out and look for her?"

While I am contemplating this I hear the doors behind me open up and two Royal guards walk into and then to the sides holding open the double doors for a red-haired woman with a bow and some metal piece on her right ear to walk in.

Aloy: Hi, I'm Aloy, I assume you're the one I'm going to the ancients building with?

Y/N:Yes, now take this gas mask, you'll need it. All you have to do is put it on your face, make sure the lenses are in front of your eyes, and that the filters are open. Secondly you'll need a pistol since that would take to long to draw and shoot while in a bunker as it is a hotspot of ambushes.

I say this as I hand her the gas mask and Glock 17 pistol and some 9mm ammo and mags to hold onto.

Aloy: What are we going to run into in there?

Y/N: The worst I'm suspecting is maybe some hunters in a main storage area for ammo and weapons, other than that it should only be ticks and runners we see.

Aloy: When are we going down?

Y/N: Now that you are here and I've got all the supplies we should need for an extended time, we can just head down now. Plus we could stay longer by supplementing what we have with what we find in the bunker.

Aloy: Alright, follow me and we'll head to the "bunker"

She begins to go out of the armory and the to Royal guards flank you two following closely. It is not a long walk from the center of town to the gate you came in from. You stop there for a brief time so the gate can open and you two walk through onto the flat plains the city is situated on.

With it being midday by this point, the five and a half mile travel to the bunker just over two hours. The foreboding red door is not hard to distinguish from the grey of the concrete and rock surrounding it.

Y/N: Alright, this is definitely the bunker. Most of the time you would need to hunt down machines until you get the three key cards needed to enter, but this is an area I hunt in a fair bit for some lower grade machines for some easy supplies and I already got the three key cards.

Aloy: So how do you open this metal door?

Y/N: As long as you have them on you, the laser frequency scanner picks up the buzz the key cards give off when exposed to the scanner and it'll open

I soon step up to the door and press the open button, and as soon as I do that dozens of harmless lasers are emitted from the top of the door scanning the key cards. After a few seconds the locks on the door is released and it makes creaking sounds while opening.

Y/N: Alright, we are in business, let's go.

I draw my own Glock pistol and a flashlight while making my way into the depths of the pitch black bunker. Aloy follows closely behind but not drawing her weapons yet. As we continue down the corridor it opens up to a large vehicle depot with dozens of cargo trucks neatly parked.

Y/N: Nice, there's gotta be tons of ammo and maybe a couple weapons in those. Aloy, go ahead and start on the left side and move towards the center, and throw whatever you find into separate piles in the center of the room. I'll start on the other side and we'll find out what we can work with.

Aloy: Is there anything specific we're looking for?

Y/N: Not really, whatever we find we can use. That's the most important thing is just having the option of using more than needed if we have plenty left is a comforting thought to have.

After 20 minutes of cleaning out the trucks we found large supplies of bandages, 9mm, smaller amounts of shotgun shells, and a few mags of Armor Piercing 7.62.

Y/N: Not a bad find, grab what you can and we'll leave the rest for the return trip. All we need to do now is find the generator and get the power on so we can get the lights on.

Aloy: That would help, but where do we find it?

You look around at the two halls you can go through on opposite sides of the motor pool and notice a yellow lightning bolt sign on the wall of the hall on the right side.

Y/N: I'd bet on the right side over there, that yellow sign should indicate power, on the other side should be barracks and maybe something else. The large door in front should lead outside, but we should leave it closed so we don't have to worry about anymore machines entering.

Moving to the right side of the room I stop Aloy before we enter the hall

Y/N: Go ahead and put on the gas mask, you'll be dead before you can even recognize your breathing in the gas, and get your pistol out

She puts on the gas mask and pulls out her pistol as we begin the walk into the dark with only the light of the flashlight guiding the way.
