                 _______❣_______

Bani took a peek at her stilettos, which had been quite an ache all this while, flashed a look at him to note his pace and as he approached, jammed the heels on his foot hard enough to make him wince in pain. "𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘳𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵 𝘧𝘦𝘦𝘭𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘚𝘖𝘙𝘙𝘠", she muttered as she turned to face him, giving a cold look. Retreating a bunch of tresses that were formerly dancing on her cheeks as she took long strides towards the hallway. That's when Veeranshu hoofed out of his muse only to catch himself staring at her.

"𝘈 𝘸𝘦𝘥𝘭𝘰𝘤𝘬 𝘴𝘰 𝘣𝘭𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘩𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘦 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘰𝘮 𝘩𝘶𝘮𝘢𝘯 𝘵𝘰 𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘦𝘳𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘯 𝘩𝘪𝘮𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧'...𝘚𝘌𝘙𝘐𝘖𝘜𝘚𝘓𝘠!!!
𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘪𝘵 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘵𝘰!!" He reckoned as a chuckle left his lips.
Putting a halt to his train of thoughts he pulled out his phone to check on the notifications, so as to avert his gaze. Mentally cursing his brothers for forcing him to pop up when he had other plans for the day and swearing on never to fall for such traps ever.

Bani paced in the hallway darting occasional glances at Meera to check if she was okay, or in need of anything as she took a quick scan of the crowd in search of Mr Sharma, to hand over his phone to him, in a constant hustle in which she was; only to be downtrend by a group of snoopy aunties whom she had been dodging from the very outset of the wedding. Now that she was busted, she greeted them with a posed smile; mentally prepping up for the questionnaire that was heading her way.

One of them strikes,"𝘚𝘰.. 𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘪, 𝘢𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘬𝘢 𝘬𝘺𝘢 𝘴𝘰𝘤𝘩𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘪". A part of her knew what was coming next.'
"𝘕𝘰𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘔𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘨𝘰𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘵𝘤𝘩𝘦𝘥, 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘭𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘯𝘦𝘹𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘦"added another. Of all the things she wanted to accomplish in life, the marriage never made it to the list. Each passing second making her more bothered by their overt concern,  inwardly taking vows that if any day she did change her mind and decide to tie a knot, they still won't make it to the guest list.
Anxious about not getting any response from Bani, one of them probed,
"𝘚𝘰 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘵.. 𝘉𝘵𝘢𝘰,
𝘒𝘺𝘢 𝘵𝘶𝘮𝘯𝘦 𝘣𝘩𝘪 𝘬𝘪𝘴𝘪𝘬𝘰 𝘥𝘩𝘶𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘬𝘩𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘪..... 𝘔𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘬𝘪 𝘵𝘳𝘩𝘢"...
crackling up a big mocking laugh in unison. The fact that they thought they were entitled to pry upon her life and life choices and expected her to buy all their unsolicited opinions and feckless remarks, enraged her to the core. Bearing in mind, that a fit of rage would only result in an ugly spat which would eventually resolve the actual purpose of their existence... For the love of SPICE that's missing in their lives!!!
Crushing down her anger she retorted, "𝘈𝘶𝘯𝘵𝘺.. 𝘔𝘦𝘳𝘪 𝘤𝘩𝘰𝘳𝘥𝘪𝘺𝘦 𝘢𝘢𝘱 𝘣𝘵𝘢𝘪𝘺𝘦.. 𝘈𝘢𝘱 𝘴𝘢𝘣 𝘭𝘰𝘨 𝘬𝘩𝘶𝘴𝘩 𝘩 𝘢𝘱𝘯𝘪 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘥𝘪 𝘴𝘦?"
and suddenly they all buttoned up,  she could comprehend a few of them actually having their moments of introspection to know if they really were, which stunned her to an extent where she had to question their presence, what were they even looking for. COMPANIONSHIP FOR THEIR MISERIES?

And before they could react Noor broke in "𝘉𝘈𝘕𝘐...𝘛𝘶 𝘺𝘩𝘢 𝘩𝘢𝘪, 𝘤𝘩𝘭 𝘜𝘯𝘤𝘭𝘦 𝘥𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘩𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘪".
On hearing this Bani's face lit up, thanking Noor mindly for showing up before it could get more awkward on both the parts, she excused herself with a grin on her face. After all not being a people pleaser isn't that hard, she chuckled. That's when Noor came right in front of her with hands folded across her chest with a '𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘪𝘥' 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬, 𝘵𝘰 which Bani raised one of her eyebrows and aske
"𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵!!!!"
"𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘪𝘧 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 "snapped back Noor, demanding an explanation
"𝘚𝘪𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘥𝘦𝘤𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘰𝘯𝘢𝘭 𝘵𝘰𝘥𝘢𝘺 𝘐 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘱𝘭𝘢𝘺𝘦𝘥 𝘢𝘭𝘰𝘯𝘨"answered Bani in her defence to which Noor rolled her eyes saying,
"𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘺 𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘤𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘴𝘺 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘢 𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘰𝘯,𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘬 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘣𝘢𝘵𝘵𝘭𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘺..𝘮𝘦𝘳𝘪 𝘫𝘢𝘢𝘯,𝘶𝘯𝘱𝘦 𝘬𝘺𝘶 𝘸𝘢𝘲𝘵 𝘻𝘢𝘺𝘢 𝘬𝘳𝘯𝘢"  Bani upon realising that their conversation would soon turn into a GODDAMN lecture, she hurriedly dragged her towards the drinks counter as she handed out the phone to Mr Sharma as he was standing next to it.

Noor grabbed a glass of mocktail from the counter and passed it to Bani, as she knew Bani needed to loosen it up after the brief tussle she had. Bani chugged it down in one go as she spotted Meera and Harsh descending from the pavilion to seek blessings from elders. Bani exchanged looks with Noor as she was rushing to the spot.

"𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘨𝘰𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮𝘦.. 𝘏𝘢𝘪 𝘯𝘢𝘢?" Ponky asserted after sipping in the nth glass of wine. "𝘠𝘶𝘱, 𝘣𝘰𝘵𝘩 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨~𝘋𝘶𝘭𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘉𝘰𝘳𝘪𝘯𝘨" sassed Veer with his signature smug. Bani who had just reached halfway heard it and turned back, controlling her strongest urge to snatch the glass from his hand and splash the drink right at his face...settled by shooting a death glare at him. Veeranshu who was grinning eye to eye up till then now wore a poker face. The eagle prince wasn't used to receive such strong expressions of anger and displeasure as it was always the other way round. The sheer suddenness of the move made him go blank. Bani on the other hand, returned to her original pace, pondering why everyone around her was trying to get on her nerves when she was trying soo hard to be on her best behaviour.

Veeranshu took a moment to gather his thoughts only to note that Balwant, who was standing at a distance, had a smirk spread on his face and eyes rooted on him, not his usual smirk but a crooked one ~a look by which he could easily figure out that his Dad was up for something. Recalling the last time his dad had this look, he was sent to a boarding school.
