                       ______❣______

Bani returned home expecting Mrs Sharma to dig up on her but was left dazed to find her sitting on the sofa in the living room facing the other side, engaged on a video call with Meera Di. Bani took a deep breath thinking this would at least buy some time to sneak into her room before being noticed. Creeping her way out of the hall towards the stairs, as she took brisk steps that's when Meera called out her name with a rather coarse tone of voice. Bani on sensing something off with her turned, only to find Meera shooting glares at her. For her to be this mad, there has to be something serious, something that she had done and what's worse than being unaware of it. Shuffling under her gaze, Bani stood reminiscing all her sins and wrongdoings in an attempt to think of a possible cause; a clear indication of the impact & importance Meera had in her life until Meera spoke '𝘛𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘴 𝘩𝘰𝘸 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘮𝘦𝘢𝘯𝘵 𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯 𝘸𝘦 𝘱𝘳𝘰𝘮𝘪𝘴𝘦𝘥 𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘦 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘩𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘴 & 𝘭𝘰𝘸𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘪𝘯 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯' with a frown indicating she was more than upset; she resumed,  '𝘛𝘩𝘦 𝘥𝘪𝘴𝘵𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘵𝘸𝘦𝘦𝘯 𝘶𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘣𝘦 𝘱𝘩𝘺𝘴𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘭 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘸𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘨𝘦....𝘔𝘌𝘙𝘌 𝘞𝘖𝘙𝘋𝘚....𝘙𝘪𝘨𝘩𝘵.𝘛𝘦𝘳𝘪 𝘴𝘩𝘢𝘢𝘥𝘪 𝘩𝘰 𝘳𝘩𝘪 𝘩𝘢𝘪 𝘢𝘶𝘳 𝘮𝘫𝘩𝘦 𝘱𝘵𝘢 𝘣𝘩𝘪 𝘯𝘩𝘪'.While Bani's eyes widened at this, thinking.. '𝘞𝘢𝘴 it,𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺?' The fact that she mistook this whole alliance thing as a passing cloud, not worth mentioning, had stayed longer enough to paint her sky grey.

'𝘈𝘯𝘺𝘸𝘢𝘺𝘴, 𝘏𝘰𝘸 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦?' asked Meera and Bani stood there in bafflement thinking,  '𝘋𝘈𝘛𝘌 ...It was far from a 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦, close to a 𝘥𝘢𝘳𝘦 for her which turned out to be a 𝘥𝘦𝘢𝘭 for him'. But here she was answerable to them, sparing a glance first at Mrs Sharma then at her Meera Di, 𝘴𝘩𝘦 replied '𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦... I mean, G𝘰𝘰𝘥', to turn aside a converse that won't end up well. '𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘭𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘵𝘳𝘪𝘦𝘥, 𝘨𝘦𝘵 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘭𝘦𝘦𝘱.. 𝘒𝘢𝘭 𝘣𝘢𝘢𝘵 𝘬𝘳𝘵𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘪' saying that Meera disconnected the call, not before exchanging looks with Mrs Sharma which caught Bani's eye. She marched towards her room suspicious enough to think about what's cooking between the two.

She had just reached her room when her phone buzzed, a message from Meera that read, '𝘎𝘳𝘢𝘣 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘭𝘢𝘱𝘵𝘰𝘱, 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘦𝘵𝘪𝘮𝘦 𝘪𝘯 5'.Bani quickly grabbed her comfiest night suit, the one with watermelon prints on it and lunged towards the bathroom to change and wash her face. She swiftly made her way out of it, setting her laptop for some real talk.

'𝘚𝘰, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵'𝘴 𝘶𝘱 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘴 𝘮𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘪𝘢𝘨𝘦 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨.. 𝘏𝘶𝘩?' asked Meera  who decided to have 1 on 1 conversation with Bani after spotting the awkwardness and hesitation that had washed off her face then.'𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘢𝘭𝘬𝘴, 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦' replied Bani keeping it as casual it could be. '𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦 𝘐 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥 𝘢 𝘧𝘢𝘣𝘳𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦𝘥 𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘴𝘪𝘰𝘯..𝘸𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘣𝘩𝘪 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘤𝘢𝘯𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘦𝘹𝘱𝘦𝘤𝘵 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘴,𝘸𝘩𝘦𝘯  𝘔𝘢𝘢 𝘤𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘯𝘢𝘳𝘳𝘢𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯' Meera voiced as she heaved a sigh of relief, blame the FOMO she was influenced by.
. . . .

'𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘪𝘵 & 𝘣𝘺 𝘵𝘩𝘦 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥?' questioned Bani with a pout recalling how she freaked out on getting such a reaction from her. '𝘠𝘦𝘢𝘩, 𝘱𝘳𝘢𝘪𝘴𝘦 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧  𝘧𝘰𝘳 𝘬𝘦𝘦𝘱𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘮, 𝘴𝘰 𝘪𝘧 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶,𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘰𝘯𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘭𝘭;𝘢𝘥𝘥𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘦𝘹𝘵𝘳𝘢 𝘧𝘭𝘢𝘷𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘴𝘱𝘪𝘤𝘦' chided Meera. Bani who just realised that her inquisitive ass would get her grounded muttered a sorry. 𝘈𝘯𝘥 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘣𝘦𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘵𝘰𝘭𝘥..𝘜𝘨𝘩 𝘯𝘰𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘮𝘶𝘤𝘩..𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘥𝘳𝘢𝘸 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘦𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘰 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘥𝘰𝘯'𝘵 𝘳𝘶𝘪𝘯 𝘵𝘩𝘦"𝘨𝘰𝘭𝘥𝘦𝘯 𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘤𝘦" 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵  𝘱𝘢𝘷𝘦𝘥 𝘺𝘰𝘶𝘳 𝘸𝘢𝘺' chuckled Meera at the choice of words of her mother. '𝘚𝘰...𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘰𝘵, 𝘸𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘥𝘰 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘝𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘶?'

'𝘑𝘶𝘮𝘱𝘦𝘥 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘪𝘰𝘯, 𝘢𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺' complained
Bani, and began sharing the titbits she knew, '𝘏𝘪𝘴 𝘥𝘢𝘥 𝘪𝘴 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦 𝘭𝘪𝘲𝘶𝘰𝘳 𝘣𝘶𝘴𝘪𝘯𝘦𝘴𝘴,𝘳𝘶𝘯𝘴 𝘢 𝘣𝘶𝘯𝘤𝘩 𝘰𝘧 𝘤𝘭𝘶𝘣𝘴 𝘢𝘯𝘥 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴' adding to which Meera spoke.. '𝘈 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘰𝘧 𝘵𝘩𝘦𝘮 𝘩𝘢𝘯𝘥𝘭𝘦𝘥 𝘣𝘺 𝘝𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘢𝘯𝘴𝘩𝘶, 𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸.. 𝘋𝘳𝘰𝘱 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵, 𝘵𝘦𝘭𝘭 𝘮𝘦 𝘴𝘰𝘮𝘦𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘢𝘣𝘰𝘶𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮'. Bani scrunched her eyebrows at her, while Meera claimed, '𝘞𝘩𝘢𝘵.. 𝘐 𝘩𝘢𝘷𝘦 𝘮𝘺 𝘴𝘰𝘶𝘳𝘤𝘦𝘴' and it wasn't hard for Bani to guess who it could be other than her Harsh jiju.

'𝘐 𝘣𝘢𝘳𝘦𝘭𝘺 𝘮𝘦𝘵 𝘩𝘪𝘮 𝘵𝘸𝘪𝘤𝘦 & 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘐 𝘤𝘢𝘯 𝘴𝘢𝘺 𝘪𝘴 𝘵𝘩𝘢𝘵 𝘔𝘳 '𝘐 𝘬𝘯𝘰𝘸 𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘺𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨 ' 𝘪𝘴 𝘸𝘢𝘺 𝘵𝘰𝘰 𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳𝘤𝘰𝘯𝘧𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘯𝘵'  answered Bani noticing how Meera narrowed her eyes at this. Meera always had this positive outlook of looking for the good in everything and expect her to do the same, which often makes her think that being this good should be credited as an offence. '𝘈 𝘧𝘪𝘯𝘦 𝘏𝘰𝘮𝘰 𝘴𝘢𝘱𝘪𝘦𝘯.. 𝘔𝘢𝘺𝘣𝘦' the only thing Bani could cook up to comfort her at that moment.  Meera creased up, '𝘛𝘩𝘦𝘳𝘦 𝘩𝘢𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘣𝘦 𝘮𝘰𝘳𝘦 𝘵𝘰 𝘪𝘵, 𝘢𝘧𝘵𝘦𝘳 𝘢𝘭𝘭 𝘺𝘰𝘶 𝘫𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘸𝘦𝘯𝘵 𝘰𝘯 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘸𝘪𝘵𝘩 𝘩𝘪𝘮'.This was something Bani was dying to clarify earlier, '𝘐𝘵 𝘸𝘢𝘴 𝘯𝘰𝘵 𝘢 𝘥𝘢𝘵𝘦, 𝘔𝘦𝘦𝘳𝘢 𝘋𝘪.. 𝘑𝘶𝘴𝘵 𝘢 𝘤𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘢𝘭 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘵𝘰 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳 𝘶𝘱 𝘢 𝘧𝘦𝘸 𝘵𝘩𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴.. 𝘉𝘴𝘴'. On hearing that Meera squeaked, '𝘉𝘢𝘯𝘪 𝘚𝘩𝘢𝘳𝘮𝘢 𝘮𝘢𝘬𝘪𝘯𝘨 𝘦𝘧𝘧𝘰𝘳𝘵𝘴 𝘵𝘰 𝘮𝘦𝘦𝘵 𝘱𝘦𝘰𝘱𝘭𝘦 𝘣𝘦𝘴𝘪𝘥𝘦𝘴 𝘸𝘰𝘳𝘬 𝘪𝘴 𝘢 𝘯𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘪𝘯 𝘪𝘵𝘴𝘦𝘭𝘧... 𝘐𝘕𝘛𝘌𝘙𝘌𝘚𝘛𝘐𝘕𝘎'.
Bani who couldn't help rolling her eyes at this commented, '𝘋𝘢𝘺𝘥𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘮𝘪𝘯𝘨.. 𝘈𝘭𝘳𝘦𝘢𝘥𝘺? 𝘠𝘰𝘶 𝘴𝘩𝘰𝘶𝘭𝘥 𝘣𝘦 𝘪𝘯𝘵𝘰 𝘳𝘦𝘴𝘵𝘪𝘯𝘨'.
