So, yeah last night was very chaotic but luckily and thankfully nothing happened between David and his group of friends even though Star left early to take care of her kid brother, named Laddie.

Any case, I am working my two shifts one after another as they are back to back.

"Here you go, Mrs. Smitt." I sweetly said and added on a bright happy smile as I handed her selected vhs tapes of a rom com that came from her time.

"Thank you, sweet sweet dear." She thanked me while pinching my cheek in the elderly way as she coos at me.

"Tell your mom that I say hi." She says taking her handed things as she walked away before I could respond.

"Thank you, sweet sweet dear." Kayla mimicked in a laughable yet adorable way as she walked up to my side and leaned on the counter top lazily looking at the clock.

"Sucks that I have to be annoyed by my brother when his annoying goon squad comes to the beach." Kayla stated unimpressed by the consequences from last night.

"I hope karma beats his ass." I breathed in a breath of new fresh air.

"I mean it is late and it is the golden hour in which the surf nazi's become the frat boys." Kayla drifted off into nothingness.

"I am going to go and stack some more things." She said leaving me all alone after seeing something coming from the soon darkening sky outside on the boardwalk.

Then the door opened ringing the bell signaling that new customers were inside to browse and then purchase.

"Hahaha." I hear soft laughter from the unintroduced and uninteresting group of boys that are like a bunch of stalkers of my own.

"HaHaHaHa." The other one laughed milliseconds after the first one laughed.

"hAhAhAhhhh." The last one laughed and then sighed as I looked up through my eyelashes at them quickly avoiding eye contact as their eyes landing on me.

'Great. Where is Kayla or Star when I need them?' I thought sarcastically and then questioning myself.

"Hello there, we are only here to look at one PERFECT thing in this town." The one with an outspoken outlandish voice interrupts my thought process.

"The only pretty one around here." His partner shorter than him and had the same blonde hair spoke up as the one with long dark hair just looked at me eyeing me up and down in a interesting yet seductive way.

"What are you three idiots doing here?" I asked avoiding eye contact with them and then grabbed something from my co-worker next to me.

"Simple. You." The one that spoke first stated in two separate statements in a duh tone.

"Simple? Huh? How about fuck off?" I repeated his two statements as I bluntly asked them in a rude but classy way.

"There was the Naomi we know." The guy directly in front of me sighed in relief as I rolled my eyes in disbelief and disturbment.

"Seriously what do you three really want?" I asked really serious looking them square dead in their eyes.

"Hang out with us tonight." The long black haired one stated without hesitation nor holding back wryly as Billy Idol's Rebel Yell came on as I rolled my eyes and scanned a few new vhs tapes and walked away.

"Is it me or is it just your ass that screams sexy?!" Paul yelled asking me as I continued to walk away and returned to where they are.

"Guys. Stop. You're scaring her." Star walked up to us and told the guys to stop and squeezed in between them giving me a vhs tape about a romance movie.

"She isn't scared of us." Marko spoke matter-of-factly up.

"Thanks, see you whenever." Star thanked me dragging the three boys out of the store as Paul stopped blowing me a dry air kiss as I in return gave him the middle finger.

3 hours later

"Hi, again." I hear a familiar reoccurring voice spoke up from behind the counter.

"Hi." I looked up and smiled in a bright smile and saw the stranger who seems to always come to my rescue when I am in trouble.

"Do you even know my name?" I ask seriously adding on a knowing glance at him.

"Naomi." He confidently stated without pausing nor looking anywhere else.

"I don't know your name, mister mysterious." I stated the obvious as I leaned forward on the counter top towards him.

"Now, I have a nickname?" He jokingly asked in shock and surprisement.

"Then give me your nickname." I goofily told him in a light hearted joking manner.

"Michael. Michael Emerson." The mysterious guy or must I rather say Michael introduced himself with a heart string pulling and capturing lovely smile.

"Then let me reintroduce myself, Naomi. Naomi Foch or Naomi Mei Miller Foch-Diamont, if you wanna be more formal." I insisted on reintroducing myself and I then stated my actual birth name and surname and then nervously added on my full name.

"Naomi Mei Miller Foch-Diamont," Michael repeats in a trance after hearing me say my name, "What a pretty name for a beautiful girl. And great letteration." Michael commented on my name and then commented on my middle name.

"Why thank you." I thanked him dramatically.

"After let's say your shift I wanna dine and wine you out tonight." Michael composes himself and leans on the counter as well and leans closer to my face.

"I would absolutely love to." I stated in a loving crush-like daze as I smiled a bit and leaned back up and turned on my heel as he stood there watching me with prying eyes.

"After my shift loverboy!" I yelled back to him as I went and helped with Kayla stacking the shelfs full of movies.

"He asked you out!" Kayla yelled whispered in excitement and pure adoration.

"What is his name?" She asked getting out of the fan girling phase.

"Michael. Michael Emerson." I dreamily repeated his way of introducing himself to me.

"Mister mysterious boy?" Kayla asked remembering my nickname for him after last nights incident.

"What time?" She continued asking me.

"After my shift." I simply yet dreamily stated.

"Snap out of it!" Our other good friend, named Angelica Martinez, yelled coming out from the back room hearing the way I was speaking.

"I am not speaking a white lie." I answered happily forgetting to put my barrier up.

"Is she in love with loverboy?" Angelica asked whispering to Kayla.

"You can definitely say that." Kayla responded back whispering but louder than expected earning my attention.

"I am NOT in love with loverboy!" I demanded and defended in a defensive tone glaring at the two.

"Yes, you are." Kayla walked by with the two empty boxes in hand saying matter-of-factly.

"I'M NOT!" I angrily commanded.

"Yes you literally are." Angelica stated without doubt or fear while walking past me eyeing me up and down.

"Hey!" I yelled in annoyance and irritation.
