A week or so later, everything seemed to be finally going back to normal. Clint, Tony, and Steve got back from the mission relatively unharmed, and S.H.I.E.L.D. had taken it from there. They had found a few members of HYDRA alive in holding cells to be questioned, but Wanda never heard anything more than that.
It was a few days before Labour day weekend, and that seemed to keep everyone occupied. Clint insisted on throwing a huge party for the team at the Barton farm, and everyone was busy getting ready to leave in a few days.
Nat and Clint had left to go shopping for decorations and fireworks, while Wanda stayed at home, hanging with Peter as usual. The two had really become close, Peter becoming her cousin, in the spirit of course.
They were in Wanda's bedroom, laying on the floor on their stomachs, watching Peter's small phone screen. Peter was showing her a funny video about pranks
He stood up.
"I have an idea," He said, grabbing Wanda's notebook off her desk.
"Why don't we pull a few pranks on the team? It will be fun, considering everything that everyone has gone through the last few months."
Wanda sat up.
"I don't think anyone would appreciate us putting plastic wrap on the doorways or toilets." She said, crossing her legs.
Peter shrugged.
"True, but what if we made up our own? You know, we do have powers, an advantage these guys don't have." He said, pointing to the YouTube video.
Wanda shook her head. "I don't want to use my magic on people. I could still hurt them, Peter."
Peter nodded awkwardly. Wanda looked uncomfortable, but he didn't mean to bring up a touchy subject.
"Okay, then we could just do things the old-fashioned way. My best friends Ned and M.J. are huge pranksters. Since we are all taking summer AcaDec for extra credit, I'll ask them tomorrow for some ideas on tricks we could play."
Wanda gave him a nod, not sure whether or not she wanted to do this. All the people in the videos seemed annoyed. But it was really funny.
"Come on," Peter said, pulling her up off the ground.
"I'll bring you to Pepper, your mom said you could hang with her until she gets back. I have to go back to Aunt May's for dinner, but I'll come by tomorrow with some funny ideas."
...
The next day at around three o'clock, Peter dropped his backpack on the floor in front of Wanda, who was sprawled out on the Livingroom floor watching Full House. She had just finished training with Nat, but Nat had stayed to train a bit more with Steve and Tony.
"What's this?" She asked, pausing the TV with the remote.
He pulled everything out: Notebooks, a binder, a loose pen and pencil, and lastly, a small bottle of black liquid.
"One of the perks of summer school is that I still get to see my friends every day,"
He said, shaking the bottle.
"Ned gave me it for our prank spree. It's black edible ink. Stainable, but not permanent."
Wanda blinked.
"I don't get it. How is that a prank?"
"I say we put it in Tony's travel mug. Mix it into his coffee or water, and his teeth will be stained for days. It'll be hilarious!"
Wanda shook her head. She pointed to Steve's metal water bottle on the kitchen island.
"Steve asked me to fill it up and bring it to him. He's still in the gym with Tony and Nat. Why don't we just put it in his? That way you won't get kicked out by Tony."
