The first day of high school... the most stressful and pressure filled day I she had ever experienced. Granted, most of the pressure she put on herself, first impressions are everything. She was a descendant of Frankenstien, one of the founding fathers of the town they live in now. This just put on extra pressure, coming from such a well known family. Let's pause though, and get to the origins or how this town and High school came to be.

It all started 542 AD, a explorer was... well exploring, in Northern Europe that is. His name is Lar Avitis, one of the most well known explorers in the Roman Empire. He had ventured farther than anyone ever had.

Lar's stomach growled, he should have turned around days ago but he just had to know what was out here. The thick woodland forest intrigued him, all the birds, deer, wildlife and plants they didn't have back in Rome. The environments were completely different. The large mountains and hills proved to be quite difficult. The male reach out and grabbed a branch to hoist himself up, there was a loud crack. The branch broke.

"Crap" Lar stumbled back. Tripping over a root. Down he went, further and further till he was back at the bottom. Back at square one.

There had to be a different way up, preferably a less steep way up. The explorer walked the base of the hill, looking for an easier way up. As he went it just got steeper and steeper. The hill got rockier too. Eventually, after what felt like forever he found a cave opening. A perfect place to stay the night. Climbing the hill could be a task for tomorrow. Now he just needed food...

Lar stood at the opening of the cave, looking out at the abyss of a forest he found himself in. He had no idea what was safe to eat around here. There was only one way to find out though. He set down his pack and went out with his sword in search of food.

Off he went into the thick wood searching for berries. He walked, and walked, and walked. He walked till the sun started to set before deciding to head back, just as he did though something caught his eye. Lar froze in his tracks. Already drooling. As if the gods above heard his stomach growl, the sun shined perfectly through the trees onto this bush covered in berries. The bright red orbs clumped together calling his name.

His body was moving before he realized it was. Man was starving, he had lost count of how many days he went without food. Now here this bush was answering his prayers. Oh thank everything, he could finally eat. His stomach growled in celebration as he reached for the berries.

"Don't eat those! They're poisonous." A voice said

Lar snapped out of the trance he was in and looked around for the voice. He knew it wasn't his... so who? He was alone the last time he checked. His grip tightened on his sword as he looked around. As he examined the area, he spotted a cluster of trees thick enough for someone to hide in there. Lar slowly moved towards the cluster and he started to hear mumbling. So multiple people somehow followed him? All the way out here?

"We're not supposed to interact with their world. We're just the portal guardians." A deep voice says

"I know... I'm sorry!" The voice he heard before said "those berries are poisonous though."

The deeper voice sighs. Lar stepped through the tick brush and was suddenly standing in front of two very strange beings. There was an older one and a younger one. They both had dark hair and pale skin, their eyes pure white. They had no pupils. They both wore gold robes and tons of jewels. The two beings turn to face him and they froze. Both equally as shocked as he was.

"Can he see us?" The younger one asks, moving nothing but her mouth.

"W-what are you?" Lar asked, he looked around and found himself in a small village. The village wasn't here before.. So where did it come from? The two strange beings look at each other and then back at Lar.
