Hello, I'm Hannah Williams. I look like the average teenager. Dark brown hair. Nutella brown eyes. My dad always said that. I was always a daddy's girl. I always did everything with my dad, and he always did everything with me. When my parents died, I had nowhere to go. My sister was married with FIVE kids, and my brother was away at college. My best friend's parents took me under their wing.
So now meet Katy McNeil, my best friend. It all started in kindergarten when she had the nerves to steal my goldfish. After about five minutes of calling each other poo heads and stink brains, we became inseparable. And that friendship has lasted until now when we're standing in the registration line at our local high school. We're going to be seniors, which is kinda scary since we'd be graduating this year and then forced to go to college and get an actual job.
Katy and I were sharing a pair of earbuds listening to Dollhouse by Melanie Martinez (great song btw).
"When you turn your back she pulls out a flask, and forgets his infidelity-" I sang when I was suddenly cut off by someone.
"Sorry I'm late mom." It was a boy that looked similar to Katy. He had messy blonde hair and brown eyes like Katy's. He looked like a player. A handsome, muscular, beautiful player-
"Han, stop drooling over him." at that moment I realized that I was staring like he was some sort of freak. I suddenly looked like I was interested in my shoes, trying to hide the fact that I was intensely blushing.
"Aww she's blushing." The boy said taking my chin in his fingers and lifting my head. He looked like he was about 6'4. He was a giant compared to my measly 5'3 stature. If a normal guy did that to me, I would have cut his hand off, but something about him was different. He had a unique look in his eyes. Not like the ones that all of the other guys have.
"Alex, stop touching her. You just met her and you're all over her." With that he took a step back and started talking to his mom.
"You never told me you had a brother"
"That's because you don't need to know him" she replied bitterly.
"Why?" I was curious at this moment
"You just don't, okay?" She was acting weird, and I didn't like it. I needed to know why I "didn't need to know him."
"Are you ladies talking about me?" This so called Alex called from behind us.
"Yeah. I'm telling her how you killed Aunt Kimmy's dog." Katy looked at me and gave me the secret wink that meant "go along with it."
"Alex, why would you do that to a poor, innocent dog?" I asked pretending that he was some kind of monster or something.
"If she told the FULL story, then you'd know that it was an accident." he said while staring at Katy harshly.
"Wait- what?!" It took me a minute to process what he said.
