I walk into the house after Alex and make my way to the dining room and sit down. There were pancakes, syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon, and toast. Soon the rest of the family started to fill in.

I put two pancakes, some eggs, four pieces of bacon, and a piece of toast onto my plate. Mrs. McNeil brought some Sunny D to the table and I fill my glass with the orange deliscousness. It was pretty quiet while we ate, except for Mrs. McNeil talking to Mr. McNeil about someone getting shot on the news and how the president is ruining America. Breakfast felt like it lasted forever. I looked at my phone and it was 12:10. Dang. We took a long time to eat...

I finish my breakfast, wash off my plate, and leave to take a shower. I turn on the water and set it to my favorite temperature.

"Ahh, midly scalding." I say as I stand there for a few seconds and let the warmness rush over me. I wash, lather, and repeat and scrub my body clean, making sure to be careful around my stomach area. I proceed to shave my legs when I hear a knock on the bathroom door.

"Han?" The voice called. I honestly knew who it was. It was Katy, duh.

"What?" I replied.

"There's a party at Arden's house. Wanna go?" She asks. I hear her slump against the door and wait for my response. I let out a small laugh at her act of impatience.

"Umm, of course!!!" I basically screamed from the shower. I'm not a huge party goer, but Arden was in Katy and I's group of friends, also called our group of freaks.

I had known Arden since about third grade. We used to hate each other. I remember that everyday at p.e. we would fight over the jump ropes and a friend that we both had, Melissa. Then one day about a year later, Melissa wasn't at school and Arden and I were paired up for a group project thing, anyway we still screamed at each other and fought, but we became best friends. She had dyed her hair about 50 times in the past two summers and I'm ready to see what new color she has now. Blue? Purple? Green? Maybe even red...

"Okay, just make sure to wear something nice." She said snapping me out of my thoughts.

"Uh, do you not trust my fashion choices?" I asked sounding offended.

"Not after what happened at Arden's LAST party. I mean, I can't believe he would-"

"Okay! We don't need to travel down memory lane." I said as I turned off the water and dried off my soaked body.

"It starts at 4" she stated. I could hear her trot off to her room and close her door. I look at my phone. There was a layer of steam on it from my hot shower so I wiped it off and looked at the time. It read 2:57.

"Okay, that means I have about an hour to get ready" I said to my self. I wrapped the towel around myself and went to my room, which was right next to Katy's. I walked to my dresser and pulled out a bra and some underwear because I kind of didn't feel like going commando today. I then pulled out some sweatpants and a tank top and put those on. I didn't feel like putting on actual clothes while doing my hair and makeup.

I plugged in my curling wand and waited for it to heat up. While I waited I played with it. First I pretended it was a sword, a magic wand, and a microphone. I started curling my hair and burnt myself a couple times on the tips of my fingers and then once on my hand. I finished my hair and sprayed hairspray in it so that it wouldn't turn into a ball of frizz later that night.

I proceeded onto to makeup. I kept the foundation light and focused on my eyes. I decided to do a light smokey eye type thing and put loads of mascara and eyeliner on. I walked to my closet and put on a black shirt and some dark wash, ripped shorts that stopped about mid-thigh on me. I decide to wear some black sandals, a feather necklace thing, and some bracelets that I got from my grandma one year for my birthday.

I looked back down at my phone and it read 3:40. I sprayed some perfume onto my body and walked to Katy's room. I opened her door and thank God she wasn't naked. She jumped and mumbled some profanities under her breath.

She decided to go with a dress that was white and had a pink, poofy skirt and a denim jacket that she had layered over it. She had silver high heels sitting next to her and was finishing her mascara. She then sprayed perfume and put her heels on. Katy was always the dress to impress type. I on the other hand was a more casual type of person.

"Ready to go?" She asked with a grin and placed her hands in her hips.

"Sure" I replied turning on my heels and walking out of her room. On the way to the door I bumped into Alex.

"Where are you going dressed so nice?" Katy asked in a snarky voice.

"Arden's party." He replied with a smirk.

"How did you find out about that?!" She asked and widened her eyes.

"You really should be quieter when you're talking outside of the bathroom door. Plus mom's not gonna let you go of she finds out that Arden smokes weed every Friday with the burnouts from school" he said looking down stairs where Mrs. McNeil was.

Katy let out a sigh of defeat.
"What do I have to do to keep you quiet?" She asked crossing her arms

"Let me come to the part and mom won't know a thing." He replied. I looked at him up and down. He was wearing a grey, short sleeved, button up shirt that showed off hs defined muscles, a black tie, black jeans, and some grey shoes.

"Fine." She replied in a cold voice.

We walked down stairs and almost made it out of the front door when Mrs. McNeil stopped us.

"Where are y'all going?" She asked and looked up from a magazine she was reading.

"Arden is having a party and she wanted us to go" I replied with a smile.

"Okay but if any of y'all drink, stay there until the morning, then come home." She said and looked down at her magazine again.

We all widened our eyes in shock. Katy's mom had always been layed-back, but not this much.

"Ye- yes ma'am." Katy replied and we all walked out of the house and to my car. I got in the driver seat and Katy got in the passenger seat. Alex trudged behind and got in the back seat. I started the engine and backed out of the driveway and started towards her house. She didn't live too far away, but there was some traffic on the way there.

We ended up getting there a little after four but she wouldn't mind. I found a parking place and we all got out of the car. Alex went immediately to a group of some bleach blondes in crop tops and daisy dukes.

Katy and I entered the house and found Arden. She had purple hair that started of light at the roots and got darker towards the tips.
