15: Rings

Kit: Good day! My exams are coming next week so I've got to revise. I just finished a test too, but I'm pretty sure I'll do okay since I did the past year papers and most questions were recycled ones.

  Fortunately, SC chapters are all pre-written. I just have to look through and make sure everything's okay before publishing.

  With that said, the next update after this just happens to be on the last exam I have so I'll be releasing that chapter after I get home from school.

Turtle: Hey, Tay. Come with me to the mall tomorrow.

Not Te: What if I say no?

Turtle: Then I'm going over to your apartment to drag you to the mall.

"Yo bro. So what did you need from this handsome guy on this fine day?"

"We're going to the jewellery shop."

"Huh? I thought you weren't someone who wears those things."

"Yes, normally. But this is special and very important."

"How important?"

"It's for my boyfriend."

  Silence from the other. When Tay's brain finished loading, he could not help exclaiming out. "Boyfriend?!" Which gained the attention of a few people around them. "Oi! Be quiet will you? We're in public, you embarrassment."

"B-but, what, how, when?!"

"A few months back..."

"Which month. Who? Is he older, younger? Is he a bad person?!"

"Relax will you? We got together in January, he's one year older and I assure you that he is a good person. Way better than you are at least."

"How am I supposed to relax when you kept this from me for months? So... you got together with a third year senior?"

  "He was my head hazer." Krist didn't bother anymore, he just walked on without the interrogator. He needed to get that pair of rings before P'Sing gets home. Even though Tay wanted to continue blasting questions in the omega's face, he couldn't because he was going to get punched for sure.

Joker: Nong, where are you?

Turtle: We're almost there, P'Mon. Everything is ready?

Joker: Yup, the cake and decorations are done. The people are here too.

Turtle: Okay, thank you na. For agreeing with this party.

Joker: My pleasure nong. What can I not do for my sister-in-law?

  Looking at what Nammon sent made Krist blush and Singto definitely caught it with his keen eyes.

"Nammon?"

"Yes, he was teasing me again..."

"I wonder if he would learn his lesson after he tastes your punch."

"No, I won't ever punch him. He's my favourite senior after all."

"Ow, what about me? I'm not your favourite anymore?"

"You're my boyfriend phi, that's different from a senior."

"Well, we're home. Do yo-" The moment Singto opened the front door, a loud 'Surprise!' startled him.

"Happy birthday P'Sing."

"Happy birthday my dear lovely friend!"

"Happy birthday P'Singto."

"You guys planned this? This is so nice!"

"Not us phi, Krist planned and paid for it. We just set it up for him."

  Krist sent a look to Mond for saying that, he did not want his senior telling him that he should not have done everything in this even paying for it.

"Okay, enough with that. Let's just bring out the cake."

  After one round of happy birthday singing, they turned on the background music and sat around the living room to enjoy the tasty cake. There was just nice enough for everyone who came.

"Thank you guys again for this... I never expected a surprise party this year."

"Yeah, of course. Because you just wanted to abandon us to spend time with your nong."

"Who ever said that? Anyways, are you guys staying for long? We could play games on the console."

"Oh, of course we're staying!"

"Sing, here's me and Mon's present."

  After Guy gave his present, everyone else followed suit except Krist who told him not to open it till after the party.

Two hours later

  Singto came out of the shower and his eyes went to the small box on his table. They still slept in separate rooms because Krist was an omega and they weren't married yet, he didn't want an accident to happen in case he lost control.

  He picked it up and carefully unwrapped the palm-sized box, revealing a navy box with a brand name on it. Inside was a silver ring with 'KS' on it. He recognised the design of course, given how he wore branded things occasionally in events. But why did Krist get him such an expensive thing?

"P'Sing? Do you like it?"

"You went out yesterday for this?"

"Mm, so do you like it?"

"But it's so expens-"

"Phi, nothing is ever not worth when it comes to you. Besides, this is what I want to give you. I want to give you my promise that I will stay by your side as long as I can. For as long as I am alive and well, you can never get rid of me. So don't think of this as something that costs a lot of money, instead it's something that is priceless."

"Kit... thank you for today. And for all the other days and everything you do for me. Even words can't express how much I love you."

"Not at all phi, I should thank you instead. For staying by my side even after finding out about me and helping me with so many things. If it weren't for you, I would still be an unknown and insignificant person getting pass university with boring days. So you deserve everything that I give you regardless of the cost."
