- Megha, wake up. Megha...

- Mmmm...

- Please sister, we are getting late dear.

- Fiveminsleepyyy...

- MEGHAAAA !

Goodness ! Is the world ending now ?

I woke up with a jolt, followed by a spinning head and confused mind, only to find the Devil's incarnation aka my twin sister.

- Why did you do that ?

The she-devil smiled sweetly.

- In case you have not noticed, we are already late. So, I had to wake you up from your beauty sleep. Now get ready. I'm going downstairs to take my breakfast.

Groaning I reached for my cell phone. 9:20 a.m. Our first class was at 10 a.m. My room was a complete mess and I had two projects to submit that day. Oh God! I am screwed!

......

"Come on Rishi, don't be a spoil sports !" I bumped my sulking friend teasingly.

"Leave it Megha. Rishi will never admit it. But the dimwit fails to understand that we do notice." Shruti cackled.

Rishi huffed and stomped away. That made us laugh even more.

Seriously ! This boy really is a kid ! I mused. It was our free time and we were heading towards the library.

"Gods Neel ! What are you jotting down ? I have not found anything relevant yet !" Shruti complained.

"That's because you are not concentrating enough. Here, have a look."

Their voice broke my concentration and I looked at them blankly.

Something flickered in front of my eyes. Blinking, I looked again. A tiny blue light hovering around the bookshelf at the corner. Curious, I got up. As if, sensing my response it danced and moved again. I felt a tug and an urge to go after the light. What the hell was that ? The light ball was then entered the next section with me following it blindly. It stopped at the farthest corner. I reached out instinctively and touched the blue orb. It vanished in the thin air. I gasped. Was it a trick of my eyes? Was I day dreaming ? Suddenly, an warmth spread through me and I felt something heavy at my still opened palm.

A book !! An old, leather bound, dust covered, strange looking book with a funny title, written in golden calligraphic design. 'Enchantment of Bajrahansak.' At that very moment a voice spoke in my mind, clear and alluring.

Five is strength, One is lone.
Make it rain, Seeds have sown.
Trust is hold, Trust is given.
Find a link, Make it happen.

Dumbfounded I came back to my friends.

"Where were you, Megha?" My sister was the first to ask.

Shrugging I sat down and put the book on the table.

"Hey where did you get this off looking book?" Rishi shouted.

"Shh! Do you want us to get punished ?" Shruti hissed.

"Sorry. But, what is it ?"

"I don't know." I surrendered and then proceeded to tell the story.

"Megha, are you alright sis? You must have hallucinated. Oh no ! You are looking so exhausted. Did you caught a fever?" Mithi put her palm on my forehead.

"Guys, there is no labelling or tag number in this book. Should we ask the librarian mam?"

"I am ok sis. Don't worry. And no Rishi, we won't."

"Are you positive Megha that no one pranked on you?" Neel asked to me softly.

"I am certain. But please don't ask me how." Taking a deep breath I met their eyes. "Believe it or not, I have a nagging feeling that the book is meant for us. Therefore, we should not involve anyone else."

"So, let me get this straight," Shruti said, "you were kinda summoned by a magical light. And now we are in this together."

"Which means we must read the book first." Neel reminded.

I nodded, amused that the nerd in him got excited. "But let's get back to our classes now. Tomorrow you guys should come to our house at 11 a.m. We shall be alone then. So, it will be perfect."
....

That night, sleep deserted me. I tossed and turned in my bed like a lunatic. Whenever I tried to drift myself off, that spooky voice woke me up. I had not opened my bag since getting back to home. Both me and my sister completely avoided the topic to discuss further. Call me coward or anything, but I knew, I could not look at the book until all of us were together, and my parents were out. So, we acted like nothing happened. But alas ! I could not fool my own mind. It kept replaying the whole drama throughout the night.

Who talked to me ? What did they want from us ? And what the hell did that riddle mean ?
