Sapphire's P.O.V -
You never really know your fears until you come right in front of it.
I was the same. I didn't really know my fear until I stood in front of it.
Car.
As I had said my goodbyes, Ella lead me outside while David thanked Ms. Han and promised to take care of me. I walked outside with Ella, one of her hands resting around my shoulder.
As I stepped out of the front door, I stopped walking. My breath hitched in my throat and I fisted my hand as they started to shake. Ella stopped as well and looked at me.
"Is something wrong, honey?" She asked, her face hinting at her concern.
I didn't reply, not being able to form any sentence.
She looked at where I was staring and then looked at me again. Suddenly, her eyes went wide and her lips parted in realization.
Just in front of the house, stood a white car.
"Oh, no, I am so sorry. You don't have to sit in the car, we could catch a bus or we could walk," Ella rushed out, her eyes wide in panic and horror.
I instantly felt bad despite my fear.
I was with them for not even five minutes and they already have to deal with my problems.
So, I tried to smile or at least, fake a small one to ease her worry.
"No, it's okay. I was just a bit surprised, it's a very nice car," I quickly lied to make her feel better. Half lied, actually because the car really was nice.
She looked at me, unsure.
"It seems a bit scary, I won't lie, but I will be fine," I reassured her with a little bit of truth, seeing her looking unsure. "Its my first time riding in a car since...since the, uh, the accident so I feel a bit edgy, I guess but I will fine, really."
