Sapphire's P.O.V
Back to school has never been fun for me. I've never had any holiday trip stories to tell neither did I have any friends to tell them to or look forward to seeing. Going back to school after holidays always reminded me of what most other people my age had that I didn't, and never will. So, simply put, I didn't like when school opens back up after a long holiday.
Now, everything is different.
I have amazing friends to gossip with, wonderful classmates to look forward to seeing and overall, a better social situation than what I had before.
Yet, I still hate back to school situations.
Because despite all the changes I've had in my life, the thing that hasn't changed and probably never will, is people.
They were and still are nosy, judgmental.
They still can't stop staring, not caring how it makes the other person feel.
They still manage to make me feel like an animal in a zoo. They still manage to make me anxious, self conscious.
As I walked through the doors of Crestview High, all eyes seems to be on me. Every other person was staring at me, practically picking me apart and putting me back together. As if my experience with Bale was written all over my face, for everyone to see and read.
My heart was drumming in my chest, threatening to burst out from the anxiety that I was feeling. I hated attention, stares. I hated the gossips I knew would be created by the end of the day. I hated the way they were whispering because I felt like they were talking about me. Only today, I know they are.
To make matters worse, neither Chloe nor Adam was here yet. If they had been here walking through these halls with me, holding my hand perhaps, I would've felt better. Less anxious, less on the verge of panic attack.
I kept my head down, concentrating on my breathing and on multicolor shoes around mine to make sure I don't step on anyone of them or get to close and end up bumping into someone. Pushing through the thongs of nosy and intrusive teenagers, I finally reached my locker. I let out a sigh, as rested my head against my locker, the stray hair around my face blowing away from my face for a second.
When my heart was in a considerably better condition, I entered the pin and pulled my locker open.
I gasped as soon as the door opened and countless small colorful square chits flew out of the locker. My jaw dropped as I took 2 steps back in shock, the place looked like it had rained of those chits.
"Sapphire!"
I turned to my left to see Noah and Luke hurrying towards me with Mia and Chloe behind them.
They stopped before me, looking around with wide eyes and opened jaws.
"What the..."
I discretely took a glance at the others and saw that everyone was watching, waiting for the suspend to unfold. I focused back on the situation on hand as I felt my anxiety rising again. Realizing my nervousness, Chloe came and stood beside me, gripping my arm with her hand. I instantly felt a little better at the physical comfort.
Luke bent down and grabbed a chit, turning it over his hand to get a look at the writing. His jaw clenched at whatever was written on the chit. Noah stood beside him and read the chit, his eyes widening before it hardened. Seeing their reaction, Chloe picked up a chit. Mia and I glanced at the chit from over Chloe's shoulder and what I saw, made my blood run cold.
'I know what you're hiding.'

Here you go, chapter 30. Rewritten. 618 words, you won't believe how difficult it was for me to write this again. Damn, I'm definitely keeping backups from now on. Don't want this to happen again.
Anyway, enjoy.
Next chapter will be out soon, within a week or so.
