Chapter 4
I tossed and turned trying to hold on to a minute more of sleep. I mean its hard seeing as my mum is content on pulling the sheets, mattress and pillow from under me. Obviously, this all was also accompanied by her screeching.
' RYAAA GET UP NOOOOOW! YOUR GRANDAD ISNT GOING TO WAIT FOREVER YOU KNOW? AND I NEED TO TIDY ALL THIS UP BEFORE PEOPLE ARRIVE! OMG! ARE YOU STILL SLEEPING!? GET UP RIGHT NOWWWW! RYA-'
Yeah, it wasn't really a surprise to me, I just tend to ignore her and tune out till I hit the floor which I had a feeling was going to happen- NOW! Grrrr the floors hard! Did they have to have tiles?
I blinked my eyes open and yawned, looking up at the ceiling, the fan was on at full speed and I tried to cherish the moment. But being in a house too crowded my moment ended abruptly.
I got up in a huff and yawned once more. 'MUUUUM! STOP ... I'm up just let me carry it!' I rolled my eyes at my mum as she tried to carry the huge mattress and steered her towards the kitchen. She always tried to do more then she was capable of, although I couldn't really scold her since I was like that my self. I took a breath and squatted down, hugged the mattress and stood up carrying it with me. I closed my eyes at the strain it put on my back. Ignoring it I took a step towards the other room. Suddenly the mattress was roughly tugged out of my arms. I stumbled back frowning, trying to figure out who had rudely taken it out my arms in such a rough way without saying a word, but it was hard to see the person since there was a mattress between us. I crossed my arms angrily and watched as the person turned around and walked carelessly into the other room and placed the mattress down.
As he turned around my frown deepened and I glared at him.
'What the hell!? You know you could have asked before grabbing it from me like that I could have fallen!' I didn't wait for him to answer as I turned around to walk out. But stopped and turned around at his sly comment.
'Your welcome,' I mean, okay I figured he was a jerk but he didn't have to confirm it.
Looking at my confused expression he smirked and sat down on the sofa. I decided to ignore him and rolled my eyes at him once more and angrily stomped towards the sink.
Looking into the mirror I stared back at myself in disbelief.
Why couldn't I be like those girls that woke up with a sexy sleepy look to them?
WHAT!?
Did I seriously say that to myself just because of that jerk?
I raised my eyebrow at my self in the mirror and smirked.
Its not like he looked better himself, I looked back through the door at him sitting on the sofa. I hadn't realised he was that fit. I blushed.
CRAP! Okay so he looked good with his fitted vest which looks like its going to burst and reveal his six pack any minute now- and his matching boxers. I widened my eyes at the thought.
HUH!? Who wears matching boxers and vests??? I looked back in the mirror and tried not to laugh, opening up the cold tap.
Splashing water on my face it was a relief from the heat. I brushed my teeth and combed my hair making my self presentable and sauntered sleepily towards breakfast.

'Morning grandma, morning grandpa, morning everyone,' I said, as I was greeted and smiled at. I looked around at everyone sitting down. I frowned as I realised everyone greeted me but Ryan who was sitting next to my mum(?) and granddad, mentally frowning I spotted Sarah and smiled at her as she waved at me to sit next to her. She looked as sleepy as I felt.
'I'm glad you decided to join us Rya,' my granddad winked at me smiling I smiled back embarrassed that I had made everyone wait for the living room to be tidied. Since that was where breakfast was served.
Sarah nudged me.
'Don't worry I just woke up five minutes before you, I mean we did stay up all night we should be entitled to sleep more,' she whispered in an annoyed voice, 'but I guess these are always the rules here' we smiled at each other in understanding and she handed me some bread and my mum placed a cup of tea in front of me.
I looked across the table as I felt a stare on me. I glared back at Ryan as he stared. He straightened suddenly glaring back and broke the eye contact. I mean what the hell was that boys PROBLEM. It’s seriously reaaaally getting on my nerves!

The next day my uncle and his family decided to go visit his mother in law who had invited all of Ranya's family around for dinner. This was a relief for me since I finally had some privacy and piece without Ryan's weird moods.
I was sitting on the balcony trying to read a book but it was way too hot and I put the book down in frustration squinting at the sun and praying for a tan. Looking at my skin I smiled as it had turned slightly bronze after a few hours.
I had called Deli 2 hours ago yet she had still not come down. I sighed reaching for my Ipod.
After a while Deli finally came into the balcony.
'Oh! You’re early,' I said sarcastically not bothering to look at her.
'She sad down beside me nudging me, 'oh, come on, you know how my mum is. She wouldn't let me come down till I helped clean the house. Anyway, so? Watcha doing? And why the hell are you sitting out here? Do you want to burn or something?' She suddenly reached for me and pulled me up with her. I tried to struggle but gave in and walked into the room.
'Duhhh! Don't you know what a tan is? Just because here they love natural light skin doesn't mean I agree.' I landed on the sofa and gave her the -iknowyouthinkimcrazybutidontcare- look.
She rolled her eyes at me, and we started talking about Sarah and trust me the pillar of her speech was 'I told you so!' I listened and suddenly cut her off.
'What the hell is wrong with Rayan!?' I blurted.
'What? What do you mean?' She asked me while trying to analyse me.
'Well, number one he has been glaring at me from the first second I saw him. Number two he's a complete JERK! And number three I totally HATE him'
'Woaaa! Calm down, he's a really great person you know, maybe you did something to him? He does tend to give people the silent treatment if they do something he doesn't like to him or say something bad to him, but other than that he's funny and really nice, you should see the days him and Ali take me and Sarah out. We have so much fun! We should do that sometime soon.'
'No trust me! I didn't even have a chance to do anything bad to him, though he's tempting me! And I think ill pass on the outing, I can't take him here let alone out!' I was horrified at the thought.
For a while we continued talking about random things but all the while I couldn't help but think how different the Ryan I had experienced these past few days was to the one Deli described. We didn't go back to the subject, but it somehow made me angrier.
After a calm day, I decided to watch something on the T.V., but was disturbed when the doorbell rang. I looked round at my grandparents and my mum to see if there was any chance if them getting the door but realised it was down to me.
I reached the door as the bell rang again and called out 'got it!' I mean why are people so impatient??
I swung the door open and rolled my eyes instantly, turning around and walked/ran right back into the living room I didn't even try to acknowledge his presence.
'Who is it?' My mum asked curiously.
'I think my uncles family is back from Ranya's family day' as soon as I said that Ryan walked into the living room.
Did he just raise his eyebrow up at me like he's surprised? Oh man, he sure doesn't know what being on my bad side means! I raised my eyebrow back at him imitating him but in disgust and turned my attention to Sarah running to greet her.
