2:42 pm. The clock seemed like it was just torturing me. All I wanted to do was get out of the office at 8:30 pm tonight. Since we had just closed a case, Cragen usually let us out on regular time. Time seemed like it was moving slower than usual.

5:48 pm. Amaro finally comes back with the Chinese while the rest of us work on our fives. I just got the usual, Kung Pao Chicken with a side of steamed rice.

6:56 pm. I finally hand my fives to Cragen, while I manage to still make fun of him about having his lazy ass sit behind his desk 24/7.

8:16 pm. Almost time to go home. Nothing else has happened. No new cases, no phone calls, nothing. My smile had grown from the usual smirk I have on my face, to "I just got my braces off after having them on for two years" smile.

"Why do you have that grin on?" Amanda says, "Fancy date tonight?"

"Nope, just the fact that we're going to get out of here. I'm going to be able to go home and pour myself a nice glass of wine, and have a relaxing night." I respond.

Just as I say that, here comes in a teenage girl. She looked to be about fifteen, brown hair, blue eyes that were surrounded by the pale redness that can be only caused by one thing- crying. She is beaten up, bruised and bloody. The three "B's". She looks startled and shook up. She slowly walked up to my desk, and slips me a note.

" I need help. Can you help me?" the note says. I slowly stand up, take my hand, and grasp it around her waist, leading her to the interview room. I turn around, quietly shut the door, and begin to talk with her.

"Now, on your note, it says that you needed help," I say to her, "and that you asked me to help you. But the first thing I need is your name and age. Can you tell me that?"

"My name is Samantha Thomson, I'm fourteen years old, and I do need help."

"Okay, can you tell me what the problem is?" I say as I write down her basic information.

"Well, I was raped, in case you can't tell, and I need you to protect me from him." Sam says.

"Okay, have you had a rape kit done?"

"No."

"Okay, well we need to get you a rape kit for any evidence/fluids that the perp may have left." I say, "I'll take you to go get one. Do your parents know about this?"

All of a sudden, she looks up at me, with her big blue eyes, and they start to turn pink around the blue, and the tears started to flow out of her. That's when I realized she didn't tell her parents, because it was her parents.
