Percy's POV

I walked to the library to meet y/n for our tutoring session. We were supposed to meet in Snape's classroom but he was holding detention for some first years, I guess I can't judge them too much since I was in that same position yesterday. I picked a table in the emptiest part of the library and sat my stuff down on the table, slumping down in my chair before quickly fixing my posture. I had gotten there 30 minutes early on purpose so I could work on my homework before Y/n got there. But I could barely focus, I kept thinking about yesterday's events, and Y/n. She's not as dumb as she thinks she is. I mean it wasn't entirely her fault, I should have been a better partner and made sure she understood what was happening instead of just ordering her around. I eventually pulled myself together and was able to finish my work right as a frazzled and out of breath y/n stubbled into the seat next to me.

"Am I late?" she asked, placing her bag down, her face was flushed, her hair was frizzy and falling out of the ponytail she had it in, she looked really cute. No Percy stop, I told myself.

"Um no not at all" I stammered out, putting my homework away.

"I was just early so I could do homework"

"Oh ok, quidditch practice ran late and I ran all the way here." she pulled out her potions textbook setting it down on the table with a sigh.

"Um hello, Percy? Are we gonna start?" I realized I had been staring at her not saying anything.

"Yes, let's start on page 65 that the potion we went over today, we have to recreate it tomorrow so let's go over the ingredients and process." I opened my potions textbook avoiding her eyes as I felt my face growing hot.

Y/n's POV

"Good work today Y/l/n, just make sure to be aware of your surroundings when hitting the quaffle, you make great goals but you don't pay attention to where the bludgers and I don't want you getting hurt." Our captain said to me as we wrapped up practice.

"Thank you, I'll see you at practice tomorrow" I responded heading to the locker rooms to grab my stuff.

"Hey y/n over here" Jack waved me over to where he and Oliver were standing.

"Hey guys" I walked over them "where you guys headed?"

"We were probably gonna go back to the common room and do work," Jack said,

"Yeah the potion we have to brew tomorrow is gonna kick my ass if I don't study, Y/n understands," Oliver said looking over at me.

"OH CRAP!!" I stopped in my tracks, "I am supposed to meet Percy for tutoring today at 5! What time is it?"

"It's almost 5," Jack said looking at his muggle watch.

"Crap crap crap, I have to go, I'll see you guys later," I said turning around and running to the library. When I got there Percy had his head stuck in his homework, typical, he didn't look like he was looking for me tho. I speed walked over to where he was sitting.

"Am I late?" I asked frantically hoping he wouldn't pull the "you're so irresponsible" act again.

"not at all," he said, putting his homework away.

"I was just early so I could do homework" I rolled my eyes at this, of course.

I told how quidditch had run late so I ran here and pulled out my potions textbook setting it down on the table still trying to catch my breath. I looked over and Percy was staring at me, I looked behind me to see what he was looking at but I guess he was just staring off into space.

"Um hello, Percy? Are we gonna start?" I asked him

"Yes, let's start on page 65 that the potion we went over today, we have to recreate it tomorrow so let's go over the ingredients and process," he said, his face turning red, I smiled and turned my textbook to page 65.

*time skip*

Around an hour later we had finished tutoring, I had a whole page of notes to help me with the position tomorrow and for the first time, I felt pretty confident that I would do well brewing it. Percy closed his books and put them in his bag gathering his things. Dinner was in 30 minutes and my stomach was growling.

"You did good work today y/n," Percy said, making me smile as we both picked up our bags to leave.

"Thanks, I have a good tutor" I began to leave, "hey wanna walk back to the common room together since we are both headed in their direction?"

"Sure" he responded and we began walking back to the common room. It was silent most of the way until we got within sight of the portrait door.

"Thanks for your help today," I said, turning to Percy as we arrived at the entrance. "I think I fully understand this potion now, let's just hope I don't accidentally jinx it tomorrow"

"You aren't as dumb as you think you are y/n," said looking in my eyes, I felt my face heat up.

"You don't have to say that, I mean we are required to do this anyway," I said breaking his gaze and looking at the ground. Percy timidly reached forward and put his hand on my shoulder,

"I am serious y/n" I looked back up making eye contact with the redheaded boy.

"Well if you two aren't going to kiss say the password and go inside already," the shrill voice of the fat lady said, breaking up the moment. Percy quickly pulled his hand off my shoulder turning strawberry red. Before I could even respond he said the passport and disappeared inside the common room. I looked up at the fat lady,

"Just telling the truth dear," she said to me before I walked in the portrait closing behind me.

Hope you enjoyed this cute little chapter. I've been editing some of the other chapters just cause there were tiny mistakes cause I'm a perfectionist, so if you get notifications it's cause of that. Anyway I hope you liked the chapter go drink some water, love y'all - Nora
