Author POV
It had been 3 days since Percy and Y/n had almost kissed outside the portrait hole. Well not even almost, but that's what Jack had been saying during his relentless teasing and what he had instead when he sprinted to tell his sister and Angelica. Y/n and Percy had been still meeting every day after quidditch partially by order of Snape, but they would both be lying if they said they didn't enjoy their time together. It was now the weekend and Y/n and Jack were going to meet Angelica, and Phebe to go to Hogsmeade for the day. Y/n was waiting for Jack in the common room reading the book Percy had given her. She didn't read all the time but she did love a good book every once and awhile. This one was a muggle murder mystery book. It was the book Percy was reading that day on the train when they met. But, Y/n didn't tell him that she remembered when he gave it to her, she didn't want to seem weird.
"Oh y/n by the way I invited Percy and Oliver to come with us," Jack said coming down the stairs from the dorms in jeans and a sweatshirt. Y/n looked up from her reading,
"Oh ok, are Angelica and Phebe ok with that?" she asked, closing the book and tucking it away in the crochet bag Phebe had made for her sitting up on the couch.
"Yeah it was Angelica's idea actually, she said you had been hanging out with Percy a lot lately" He smirked sitting on the couch next to her, his legs kicking over the edge.
"We're just friends, in fact, he is only tutoring me because Snape made him,"
"Whatever" Jack said skeptically, "Angelica isn't the only one who's noticed how happy you are when you come back from those tutoring sessions." He gets up from the couch as Percy and Oliver come down the stairs, Oliver first with Percy tagging behind him, holding a book close to his chest.
Y/n POV
"Hello y/n, and Jack," Oliver said obnoxiously, placing his arm around my shoulder, "You look stunning as always darling" Oliver teased, his hand grazing her arm lovingly as he walked to the head of the group closest to the door. Y/n could feel Percy's glare on the spot where Oliver's hand touched her. She looked towards him and smiled, she quickly looked away. Maybe she was just imagining things. The group then left the common room following the prefects with the younger students in the front. Once they got to the courtyard with the other students, professor McGonagall gave them the same talk they usually get, rules yda yda, don't die, don't embarrass the school, yda yda. When she finally finished they were able to walk to the village. All the students were bustling with excitement. Phoebe was walking with Angelica, Jack was in the front with Oliver and some Ravenclaw girl, all three of them giggling. Then it was me and Percy. Percy had been trailing behind me and so I slowed down just a little so he could catch up to me.
"Hi" I started, breaking the awkward silence between us,
"Hi," Percy said back, keeping his gaze on the ground. He was being so awkward, more awkward than usual.
"Is something wrong?" I asked, looking over at him, his gaze aimed right at his feet.
"No, just thinking about the transfiguration homework." His reply seemed odd even for someone as studious as Percy.
"Ok" I sighed looking back to the front of the group as we arrived at the entrance of Hogsmeade. I quickly sped up and rushed to where my friends were standing waiting for Percy and me. We quickly decided we would go to the sweets shop first, then the book shop, then the quidditch shop. Jack had invited the Ravenclaw girl to come with us and they seemed to be chatting up a storm together. Phebe and Angelina were still in deep conversation, which left me, Percy, and Oliver. Percy was still acting weird so I decided if he wasn't going to make an effort then neither would I. I let him trail along behind me and olive as we walked into the candy store. It smelled delicious and my stomach began rumbling, even though I had eaten a large breakfast that morning. Oliver and I immediately walked over to the chocolate-covered frogs since they were both our favorites, entranced in conversation about the quidditch match this week. I had hardly noticed Percy leaving the store until I heard the bell on the door ring as I saw him rush out.
Percy's pov:
Percy couldn't be around them anymore, he just needed a break. He didn't get why it makes him so jealous whenever he sees Oliver and y/n. Oliver is one of his best friends and he does care about y/n. He wants them both to be happy, but why do they need to be happy together? He kept getting this knot in his stomach whenever he saw them together. He has all these conflicting feelings about y/n. Were they friends? Were they more? Did he want them to be more? His mind was spiraling. He didn't know where he was walking, he just kept walking. Then suddenly his feet went out from under him and he was face-first on the ground. With a groan, Percy rolled over onto his back and scooted over the edge of the path he had been walking on. He looked for what he had tripped on but it was probably just his own feet. He was such a klutz and nerd. Y/n probably thought he was just a stuck-up stick in the mud. Of course, she would like Oliver, Oliver was cool, Percy had never been called cool in his life.
"Percy?! Are you ok?" Her voice called to him and he looked up to see y/n running down the hill. She stood above him but Percy couldn't bring himself to look at her.
"I saw you rush out and I came to find you" he saw her sit next to him out of the corner of his eye. Percy let out a sigh. Y/n noticed his silence and placed her hand gently over his.
"What happened to your knees? Did you fall?" Percy hadn't even noticed that when he fell he had scraped his knees and ripped his pants. These pants were his brothers, hand-me-downs his mom was gonna kill him.
"Yea I wasn't paying attention and I tripped" Percy quietly let out, looking from his knees to y/n's face full of worry and care. Her hand was still laying on top of his. He carefully wrapped his figures around hers.
"Do you wanna go back to my dorm? No one will be there...but I have a first aid kit and a sewing kit. I can fix your pants and help that scrape." y/n spoke softly, scanning his face for a response.
"Yeah, ok"

Percy was sitting on y/n's bed. He was nervously fidgeting with his fingers in his lap.
"Ok found it! Sorry, that took so long" y/n walked over to the bed and placed the first aid kit next to Percy. Percy had seen these in muggles stores before, and he is pretty sure his dad had one in the flying car. y/n opened the clear box a took out a bandage wrapped in paper that said band-aid. "I know it's not as good as magic," she said, unwrapping the paper on one of the bandages, "But I figured this might be better than me making it worse trying to do magic on you." It was strange to see y/n nervous, Percy wondered if his silence was making it worse, but he had no idea what to say. He was pulled from his thoughts by a painful stinging sensation on his knee, and he hissed in pain.
"Oh sorry, I'm just trying to clean the scrap so it doesn't get infected. It might sting a little" Y/N said, continuing to wipe the scrap with a wet cloth.
"It's ok," Percy said, merlin he was so stupid why couldn't he think of anything to say. Y/n took the band-aid and pulled the small pieces of paper off the ends placing it over Percy's scrap.
"There you go, all better" she ran her fingers over her handiwork. "I can fix your pants later," she smiled looking into Percy's eyes. She was so beautiful, Percy thought to himself.
"Hello, earth to Percy," Her voice broke Percy out of his daydreams,
"Ah sorry" he looked down at his hands embarrassed.
"Are you ok? You've been kinda distant all day" She placed her hand over this once again, adjusting herself so they were facing each other on her bed.
"I um... I don't know... I've just been thinking," he probably sounded so stupid, he couldn't even put his thoughts into words.
"about what? actually, you don't have to tell me if you don't want to...I don't want to force you to do-" Percy cut her off, without thinking he leaned in a pressed his lips against her's. Carefully after a couple seconds, he pulled away scanning her face for a response, she looked mortified. He had really messed up this time.
"I'm sorry, I let my emotions get the best of me, I have to go," Percy ran out of y/n's dorm room, into his, and got in his bed closing the curtains tight around him. What have I done?? He thought.
