Andy hated mornings.

More specifically, mornings that she had to go into work.

Like, who even goes to a bar at eight in the morning?

Okay, don't answer that. It's a stupid question, she knows that's. She's had her fair share of drunken mornings and can't be one to judge someone else, especially if she doesn't know them personally.

So she taps around her nightstand until the annoying blare of her alarm stops then groans as she throws the blanket off to the side, swinging her legs over and instantly recoiling as her feet hit the cold floor. She decides to just brave it and get out of bed, knowing she set her alarm for the latest possible time and had maybe twenty minutes before she needed to be in her car on her way to work.

It takes her all of two minutes to fully get out of bed and make it out of her bedroom, walking down the hall to the bathroom, making sure to stop and bang on Vic's bedroom door a few times to wake her up.

She quickly brushed her teeth and hair, leaving it natural for the day, not bothering with makeup, then going back to her room to change into something more presentable than the old t-shirt and sweatpants she was currently sporting.

"You know," Andy heard Vic yell from the bathroom, it was muffled, she was probably brushing her teeth. "When did we decide working at a bar would be our best source of income?" Vic asked, the door swinging open as she now stood leaning against the doorframe of Andy's room.

"Vic, I'm naked!" Andy exclaimed, trying to cover herself in some way. She had a bra and underwear on, but that didn't make it any better. They'd went over this before, boundaries that is.

"So?" Vic questioned with a shrug, clearly not caring how distraught her friend looked right now. "Back to my previous statement..."

"Can I at least put pants on before we get into the daily conversation of why we hate out job so much?" Andy asked, reaching for the pair of jeans she'd laid out on her bed just before Vic so rudely barged in.

"Okay, fine." She gave up, putting her hands in the air in surrender, turning to walk back to the bathroom. "But I expect to have this conversation at some point today. Routine, babe, routine!"

Andy shook her head, not being able to hold back the light chuckle that escaped her mouth.

The two barely managed to make it out of the door in time, Andy sighed as she plopped into the driver's seat of her car, knowing they'd be pushing it to get to work on time. Vic sat happily in the passenger seat, eating away at her waffle she insisted on making.

She wasn't even using syrup...

Probably not where Andy's mind should be, but it was better than dreading going into work for eight hours, which she was still doing by the way, just wasn't her main point of focus right now.

The ten minute drive into town was relatively silent, just Vic occasionally humming along to the music coming from the radio. Neither of them were morning people per say, but Vic was much more tolerable than Andy was once she fully got woken up.

Andy on the other hand would be somewhat of a bitch to everyone who talked to her before noon today.

It amazed her how much she could get away with all because Vic was sleeping with their boss... well, one of them at least.

Lucas Ripley, owned the bar, they didn't really see much of him until recently when he started overseeing their shifts. Andy swore it was because he just wanted to spend time with Vic, but Vic being Vic denied it and said their relationship was strictly sex and nothing more.

Sure Vic, whatever you say.

Their other boss was someone they didn't see any of, no one even dared to talk about him. They knew his name started with an R because they'd seen his signature on a few documents, it wasn't really much of a signature though, just a giant R.

Andy pulled into a parking spot, putting the car in park and turning it off before leaning back into the back seat to grab her purse, looking over to make sure Vic was ready to go in as well. They needed to clock in within the next five minutes if they didn't want a late mark on their record... if they really wanted to, they could get it erased by Lucas, all Vic had to do was ask.

"Let's go, to the hellhole!" Vic said, throwing her fist in the air in sarcastic enthusiasm, Andy yet again not being able to stop the small chuckle leaving her mouth at the second semi-funny remark Vic's made today.

They climbed out of the car then started making their way to the back entrance of the bar. There were only two other cars in the parking lot, one Andy recognized as Lucas' from the amount of times Vic thought they were being discreet, the other she knew as Travis'.

Which meant if they got busy, which they probably would considering it was a Tuesday morning and a lot of people would be getting off night shifts, it was going to get hectic with only three of them working.

Lucas liked to act all high and mighty, just sitting up in his office like he owned the placed.

Okay, he did, but it couldn't hurt to lend a hand every once in a while.

Andy relished the silence that followed as she walked in, knowing it wouldn't stay that way for long. She sighed as she walked back into the locker room, throwing her bag in her locker and grabbing the ugly apron they were forced to wear.

"Hey guys!" Travis exclaimed as he walked in to greet them, being way too enthusiastic for it being so early. He was a morning person, it was obnoxious.

"Trav, I love you, but lower your voice." Vic said, wincing at how loud his voice was.

"Oh come on, lighten up," Travis smiled, nudging Andy's side as he walked by her, going over and leaning against Vic's locker after. "We have an eight hour shift today, might as well be a happy one."

"I hate morning people." Andy sighed, walking over to the board in the corner to see what station she was assigned that day.

And just her luck, it was the upstairs portion of the bar. Luckily, it really only got busy up there at night when everyone came to get absolutely obliterated and dance all their problems away until the next morning. Only problem was, she would be walking up and down the stairs all day if anyone came up there and decided to make it their home for the time they stayed.

She also didn't like the fact that she'd be all alone up there seeing as to how both Vic and Travis were assigned downstairs where it would most likely be busiest part of the bar today. Even if she was completely alone, it still didn't make it any better. She wouldn't have anyone to talk to unless she decided to talk to some drunk, meaning today was going to go extra slow.

Lucky her.
