Chapter 3

*Jason's POV*

I was walking to my locker to pick up my lunch cuz obviously it was lunch time

I picked up my brown sack and looked in it

Ew dad packed tuna fish sandwich.....again.... Ew
Well I guess I'm stuck eating this again.

I walked away with a disgusted look on my face

I walled into the cafeteria and tried to look for my friends

They never stay in a single lunch table
Man I can't see straight..... Maybe I need glasses

Suddenly a red head bounce up from the middle of the cafeteria and yelled "JASON" and started waving her arms like a crazy person

I smiled and walked over there

"Hey Rachel" I said smiling

I sat between Rachel and Octavian just to irritate them. Everybody knows that they like each other.

I smiled at Octavian and Will and Piper

Octavian scowled at me and Will gave me a toothy smile

I took out my tuna sandwish and stared at it. I frowned, I didn't want to eat that.

I held it up and said "Who wants to trade?" Rachel bounced up and basically screamed "I do" and she threw her sandwich at me. (Which hit my face and flopped down on the table) and took my sandwish

I just kinda sat there looking confused intill Will shook me a little and say "You ok man?" laughing at the end a little I blinked and said "Ya"

I looked what was inside of the sandwich

Baloney? I love baloney!

I took a bite and felt something crunchy and weird

I looked inside again and there were pickles

Ewwwwwwwwwwwww I really don't like pickles!
I guess i can just take them out

I started plucking out the pickles when I remembered something

Who is this Nico? I wonder if these people knew

I looked up to see Will and Piper just eatting calmly and I looked to my sides and saw Octavian glancing at Rachel and I saw Rachel devouring the sandwich.

Maybe I should just ask it
But then maybe they'll laugh at me
Maybe it's a stupid question
Maybe they know but I don't know
No I'm just going to ask......
Ask right..... NOW.....
Ok NOW....
This isn't working....
I'll just say it really fast

"DoyouguysknowwhoNicoDiAngelois?!" I said in one fluid motion

Will almost chokes on his soup. Piper pats his back in concern and make sure he's ok and Rachel and Octavian just look at Will.

Once Will has recovered from almost dying he asks "What?"

"Do you know who Nico Di Angelo is" I say really slowly as if he can't speak english

He gulps and says "Ya"

I lean towards him and say "Well who is he?"

He looks at me like I just said the craziest thing on the planet "He's my boyfriend"

I look at dumbfounded "You're gay?!"

He stopped mid slurp and raised an eyebrow at me. He put down his spoon and said "Dude we've been friends since the beginning of this year and you haven't figured out that I'm gay and that I have a boyfriend?"

I put my hands up to my head looking like I was about to pray, but in reality I was doing the Sherlock Homes thinking pose and said "You're gay."

Will, all of the sudden, looked mad and banged his hands on the table, packed his stuff and left

"Wait- No- Will- There's nothing-" I tried to say but he just brushed me off and walked over to this guy who was dressed in all black, had half his hair shaved off and the other half was quite long and kissed him.

I kinda just sat there watching but then he opened his eyes and looked right at me and gave me the middle finger.

I looked down think I don't want to look like a weirdo staring

When I looked up I say Will and who I'm guessing was Nico walk out of the cafeteria.

I looked at my other friends and they were all giving me disapproving looks

"What did I do?" I whispered

"You upset him obviously" said Octavian

"Ya but how" I asked back "I only asked if he was gay"

"I think that's the problem" said Rachel "It's not that he thinks you're homophobic" she looked at me "You're not homophobic right?"

I shook my head no

She nodded and kept going "You see you guys been friends since, like he said, the beginning of the year. So how come you don't know he's gay? You really got to start paying attention to things Jason"

I looked down and said "I should probably say sorry then" I got up to go find him but I felt a tiny hand on mine

I looked down and it was Piper holding my hand in place

"You should probably give him some time Jase" She said looking me right in the eyes

I sat down nodding my head

The bell rang and lunch ended

I threw away my trash and waited for my friends

When my friends were ready to go we started to walk out

I brushed hands with someone and I looked to my left. I saw that Percy kid. He squints at me and walks faster

Geez what did I ever do to him..... Oh ya I punched him.... I don't know what came over me I just got mad.

I walk out of the cafeteria thinking about why I punched him

The last bell rang and I speed walked to my locker to get the stuff I need for my homework after that I speed walked to the bus

When I got home I was welcomed by Green Day blasting from the left side of the house

Thalia's room

I smiled. Thalia was home schooled so I never saw her around that much

I walked into the kitchen to make myself something

Mom and dad would be at work till sun down so I basically could do whatever

Heck I could even throw a party. They wouldn't mind

But I needed to keep my grades high if i wanted to be in sports so I sat down and did my homework
