Chapter 44

Jason's POV
I drove up to Percy's apartment. Walked up to his floor and knocked on his door.

He opened the door looking homeless. In an over sized t-shirt and some pj bottoms.

He looked at me with disappointment in his eyes. "What? You thought you were getting some ass today. Ha."

He walked back into his house but kept the door open.

The TV was on, Percy was in the couch, and there was also some popcorn and ice cream on the coffee table.

"Come sit down."

He said not even looking at me.

I sat down close to him but not close enough to make anything of it.

He grabbed his ice cream from the table and took a spoonful "I want to talk about what happened"

I cleared my thought "um ya- ya sure. "

I licked my lips feeling uncomfortable and vulnerable.

"You kissed that girl. Does she even know? That we're together? Or are you pulling her alone like a puppet."

"I-I kissed her be-because-"

"Ya, I know why" Percy looked down "you're embarrassed of us. Two boys who are dating. You don't want people knowing you've been in a guys ass, although I bet you've been in girls. But that doesn't matter because it's a girl."

"That- that doesn't matter." I explained

He looked at me "If that doesn't matter then why won't you tell people."

"Because- because...."

"..... because I'm a boy." Percy sighed. "I can't be with you if you can't tell people."

He paused "you don't have to announce it to the whole world, like in a movie or something, but you have to at least tell you're friends and family...... that girl."

I took a deep breath " I need time to think." I whispered

"You have till tomorrow." Percy said.

I nodded my head and started walking out

As I walked out I heard Percy say something.

"And to think we're suppose to be soulmates."
