If You Lose You Die

Y/N was cursing under his breath.

Why you ask?

Well for someone so smart, he made a dumb mistake.

They had found the doctor working on a patient in the room literally right next to them.

His initial reaction would be to fight them right then and there, but then again he had 4 people he was looking after.

He couldn't risk getting hurt anymore.

The wounds from the roof falling in on him haven't completely healed.

His face didn't change though.

He would not show them weakness.

For Six Y/N was her beacon of light in this terrible world.

It was a responsibility that Y/N had taken on the moment he decided to save her from the bullies.

For Mono, he was someone he could trust.

For Pretender a comrade.

For Maru, he was her home.

"Y/N are you okay?", Six asked with her voice shaking.

"Yeah. Just give me a second to think.", he said with his hand on his chin.

"W-Why don't we try and move around him? We don't have to let him know that we're here.", said Mono.

"That is true, but knowing Y/N he's just itching to fight.", said Pretender.

"Why do you like to fight so much anyway Y/N?", asked Mono.

"It's quite simple really."

"If you lose you die, If you win you live."

"So, by that logic, I fight."

He then takes his hand off of his chin and looks at the group.

"I'm prepared to die. The question is are any of you?"

The group then all looks at each other.

He takes off his glasses and lets his Mystic Eye's shine.

Six then grabs his hand.

"No! I just got you back and I'm not letting you get hurt again!"

"Six..."

"I'm putting my foot down! I'm tired of you doing this!"

Maru then starts to speak, but her voice was clear and she seemed almost upset.

It almost seemed like she was growling.

"Let him do what he was made to do."

Everyone but Y/N looked at her with visible confusion their faces.

While Y/N looked at her with wide eyes.

"Maru, how do you...?"

"They don't know yet?"

"That wasn't my question. How do you know that?"

"Where do you think we are Y/N?"

"A hospital."

"Correct, but don't you think this hospital is odd?"

Y/N thinks to the moments when he met Pretender. It was pretty weird to meet someone like her in here.

Y/N's eyes then widen like saucers.

He was in the hospital that made him into what he is.
